I am a huge fan of coffee. Being a mom of two little girls that are pretty strong willed means that I value my coffee. I love all blends and roasts – from light to bold – from flavored to natural – and Brooklyn Bean Roastery has it all. One of my favorite roasts is boardwalk blend. It is the perfect blend for those early school mornings – and I highly recommend it. The Boardwalk combines the best of both worlds: a peaceful view of the sea in front of you, and the shimmering lights of the city behind you. Boardwalk Blend is a smooth, medium roast, but it’s still packed with extra bold flavor. Whether you’re in the mood for a quiet stroll or a sightseeing adventure, Boardwalk Blend will rise to the occasion.

I am quite the coffee drinker. I stay home with two little girls and well, I can’t seem to get through my day without at least 3 or 4 cups. My oldest started Kindergarten this year meaning that she is in school all day long, leaving me alone with the little one. And thanks to back to school time, I am needing even more coffee to get through my day. One of my favorite coffee companies is Brooklyn Bean Roastery because they have a wide variety of delicious coffees. I have been known to put a spoon full of cinnamon in my cups of coffee before and because of this, I love Cinnamon Subway!

Let’s face it, moms are busy. Especially when back to school time hits. My 5 year old will be starting Kindergarten in just a couple of weeks and I know that my nights and mornings are going to be filled with making sure homework is done, packing up her backpack, finding the perfect show and tell items, and packing lunches. On top of all of this, I still need to find time to spend with my 3 year old, my husband, the dog, and still get work done around the house (not to mention keeping up with my website)! Thank God for Nature’s Harvest® Bread and Entenmann’s® Little Bites™ Snacks because I know that no matter what, her lunch will be fun, healthy, and easy to make with them.

As most of you know, I am a huge gamer. Ever since I was a little girl and I got my first gaming console, I have been hooked! I don’t discriminate – from board games, to consoles, to mobile – I love all forms of gaming! One of my favorite games to play is Skylanders, so of course when they launched Skylanders® Battlecast in May, I downloaded it right away. Skylanders Battlecast is the latest mobile game in the Skylanders franchise – and it is so much fun! I personally enjoy the single player campaign, but there is an online multiplayer option as well. In this mobile trading card game, you collect both digital and physical Skylanders Battlecast cards to build the ultimate team and bring them to life in epic online battles! Simply scan physical character cards with a mobile device camera to add them to your in-game deck.

As most of you know, I have two young children – ages 3 and 5. This year, my oldest will be off to school full time, while my youngest will be starting half days at a local center to get her ready for Preschool. I have been stressing already about this decision. It is going to be strange without any kids in the house for a few hours in the morning – and one that will not be home until after 3pm! On top of my emotional breakdown, I am also dealing with the stress of things that I have to get done to ready for back to school time. The list of things to do to prepare can be totally overwhelming – but I still want to find time for fun with my family.

I am going to be honest here guys, some days are better than others when it comes to dinners in my house. For me, the main issue is not time, it is coming up with a meal plan and then actually using the ingredients I purchased. Half the time I forget something that I need for a recipe and have to improvise – then we end up ordering out. I love to cook and bake – and I enjoy getting my daughters involved as well. They are young (3 and 5) but they can do a lot in the kitchen already and really enjoy it. I had been toying with the idea of checking out Blue Apron (several of my friends have and love it!) because then the dinner planning part would already be done for me and I could move right to the fun stuff!
