Perfect Gifts for the Gamer On Your List!

I am an avid gamer. If I had it my way, I would still be able to spend hours in front of the TV on the couch playing XBOX or Playstation. And by hours I mean, like 10-12 hour binges – my dad used to call me a “vidiot” because of how much time I spent gaming. But alas, life happened and I have two beautiful little human beings I need to take care of. But, that doesn’t mean that I cannot find the time to play video games now and then.

More often than not, the gaming I get to do is sneaking away with the Nintendo 3DS, with the volume turned all the way down so no one can hear it. I love to play, what my husband calls, the “silly games” like Cooking Mama and Gardening Mama. I have always loved them. I think because they are fun and addicting to play, but if something happens and I have to stop, I am not going to lose a lot of progress. I was so excited to hear there is a Cooking Mama 5 and a Gardening Mama 2!

I have played every game in the Cooking Mama series and Cooking Mama 5 is up to par with them. It is the same fun game play you are used to (cooking with mama!) except now there is so much more! You can feed the pets, organize crafts, deliver orders, and there are even some word games you can play!! I have had a blast with this game! I even let my 3 year play it and she is pretty good at it. She needs a little help of course, but she got the hang of it.

Gardening Mama 2 is the same sort of game play – gardening with mama! You will grow flowers, fruits and vegetables. In this game, mama has forest friends that will come help you out and reward you with tickets. Use those tickets to purchase new seed varieties. My 3 year old really likes this game and I enjoy playing it with her. She takes after her mama, that one!

As most of you know, I have been really big in to fitness for the last year or so. I am always looking for fun new workouts to switch it up a bit. We got a Kinect for our XBOX 360 when it came out and we barely use it. I mean, we use it for Sesame Street something or other, and a Disney game the girls have, but we don’t use it to its full potential. Or at least, we didn’t. I was really excited to try out Zumba Fitness: World Party. My husband and I have both been using this – at least once a week – and it is a lot of fun. I get sweaty pretty quickly! It is a good workout, and I have a blast while getting fit! Nothing is better than that!

These are all great games for the family! The family that plays together, stays together – or something like that, right? These Majesco Games are available at Best Buy, Walmart, GameStop (my personal favorite place to shop), and Amazon – plus, I am sure you can find them many other places. These will make the perfect stocking stuffers for those you love – plus, then you can play them too!
