AMPERS&ONE Interview: New Music & Upcoming Tour Teases

AMPERS&ONE tease new music, upcoming tour surprises, and moments that fans will never forget in this interview with Mama’s Geeky.

With the recent April 8th release of their 4th mini-album, the rising K-pop powerhouse AMPERS&ONE enters a new era. The seven-member group – comprising KAMDEN (U.S.A), BRIAN (Canada), JIHO (S. Korea), SIYUN (S. Korea), KYRELL (U.S.A), MACKIAH (Australia), and SEUNGMO (S. Korea) – has been working tirelessly to refine their sound and performance, blending their diverse multinational backgrounds into a cohesive, global identity. By bringing together their unique cultural perspectives, the group creates a musical base that resonates with fans worldwide, serving as one of their greatest strengths.

Mama’s Geeky sat down with the group to take a moment to reflect on their journey from opening for P1Harmony to headlining their own future tours, and what fans can expect from this latest chapter. Opening for P1Harmony in Los Angeles served as a learning experience for the members of AMPERS&ONE. Beyond just the performance experience, they studied how to craft a setlist that keeps the energy high while creating memorable, distinct moments for fans.

“I think watching P1Harmony perform… was actually something that we were watching for our future concerts as well,” the group shared, noting that they took careful inventory of how to balance high-energy tracks with meaningful audience interaction.

When asked how preparing for a headlining show differs from a shorter opening set, the group emphasized the importance of pacing. While an opening set allows them to pour 110% into every beat due to the shorter timeframe, a full concert requires a more strategic approach to stamina. “In each song, finding a few moments that really shine… that’s something that we’re trying to do with our concert this time,” they added.

With the upcoming tour titled Born to Define, the group reflected on what truly captures the essence of AMPERS&ONE. When asked to pinpoint a moment that defines them, they pointed back to their debut track, “On & On”.

“That’s the first time we were performing as a group,” the members noted, describing the “pure” energy and the effort they put into every move as foundational to who they are today.

However, this new era marks a significant evolution. “Compared to ‘On & On,’ we’re way more experienced now,” they explained.

Fans can look forward to a more polished, nuanced performance style in which the group knows exactly when to lean into technical flourishes and when to “go all out”. They also teased a new, “sexier” style that the group has worked hard to perfect.

When it comes to the new album, the members are particularly excited for fans to hear the track “What You’re Talking About,” which they noted was a favorite to record because it aligns with the music they enjoy listening to personally. Additionally, they highlighted “My Way” as an energetic standout they were eager to choreograph.

As they prepare for their upcoming tour, the group is planning to surprise fans with new, unperformed tracks from the upcoming mini-album and deep cuts from their discography. Ultimately, their goal for the tour is simple: to create an “unforgettable moment”.

“We want it to be… something that they’ll carry with them and hopefully be able to find joy and later on to look back and be like, ‘Oh, that was so much fun'”.
