9. Nimona

Nimona is a lot of things. It is heartbreaking, touching, hilarious, emotional, visually stunning, and incredibly well voice acted. It is easily one of the best movies of the entire year. This film is sure to touch viewers of all ages. Yes, it is made for the outsiders. Those that feel they are up against the world. But at the same time, there are lessons here for everyone.

Poor Things might seem bright and cheery, with costumes that pop and intricate sets that are equal parts beautiful and bizarre, but it gets heavy at times – unafraid to explore the harsh realities of life.

7. Wonka

Wonka is a musical, magical, whimsical journey that deserves to be seen on the big screen. It is a family friendly film that fans of all ages will adore. Get ready to grin ear-to-ear as you soak in the fantastical origin story of a well loved character, Willy Wonka. The ending ties it into the well loved story of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory just enough to make it nostalgic. Timothee Chalamet deserves all the awards for this one as he proves just how talented he already is at such a young age.

This film was always going to be entertaining, but we didn’t expect it to basically be a therapy session for women. We truly feel that this is a film everyone needs to see, as it is likely to send them all down a path of self acceptance, self discovery, and learning their worth.

1. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is the perfect sendoff for these characters as we know them. It is easily the best MCU film since Avengers: Endgame. James Gunn has clearly poured so much of his heart into these films and he wanted them to go out with love and perfection. Which is exactly what he accomplished. It is bittersweet knowing this will be his final Marvel film. Probably.
