I wasn’t the only one freaking out over this jam-packed Superman & Lois 2×7 episode that we got this week. Full of intense moments, family drama, twists, and an ending that had people screaming. Superman & Lois just can’t stop putting out great episodes! SPOILERS! You have been warned!

Warning: Spoilers for Superman & Lois 2×7
    “Anti-Hero” Ahead

Anderson, the true villain of the season, makes one of the biggest mistakes ever! After he takes X-Kryptonite, attacking Superman, Tal-Rho, and Bizarro, and finally going off-grid after going rogue. He brings the pendant Bizarro got from his world to Ally, the worst person to have it!

I wasn’t sure where this season would be heading, but this reveal has me questioning everything so far. Is Anderson genuinely gone after the choices he has made? Will Ally end up killing someone important to us? Is another threat coming that we aren’t aware of yet? Is Bizarro dead?

Speaking of Bizarro, we learn Anderson did indeed kill him. I’ve read theories online suggesting he isn’t dead, but Superman is saying he is so that no one comes after him. This theory is a possibility, and I won’t be shocked if it is shown that Bizarro survived his brutal fight with Anderson. I don’t like the decision to kill off Bizarro if he is truly dead.

His sole purpose was to save his world from Ally, and for him to be killed off would undermine development already established from my perspective. I wanted to learn more about him, so hopefully, it’s a trick. I continue to be surprised by each episode, and I’ve learned to expect the unexpected. If Bizarro is alive or dead, I’m ready to find out.

Jonathan took center stage for a good portion of the episode. He is caught with many X-Kryptonite vials at school and is expelled. However, he won’t rat out his girlfriend for being the one who had all of the drugs before Jonathan took them from her. He stood his ground against a screaming Lois, his brother, and even Clark when he finally arrived home.

Deep down, I understand Jonathan’s motivation not to ruin his girlfriend’s life, but ultimately Jonathan shouldn’t have had to have been in that position in the first place. His decision to take X-Kryptonite has now backfired in a way he didn’t expect. He needs to rethink his decision on not telling the truth before it’s too late.

Sarah has a lot on her mind with her parents splitting. She decides not to tell Jordan everything, and maybe that is the wrong choice on her part. Sarah should be comfortable talking to Jordan
about what’s on her mind about her parents practically splitting up. She instead turns to the girl she kissed at camp, which I understand that choice. She felt comfortable opening up to her before, and they talked for what seemed like hours about parents not being together.

Little moments between them suggest maybe they both want to be more than friends. I don’t think Sarah will leave Jordan, but I think she will question what she wants in life as she gets older.

Tal-Rho shared his cell with Superman for a bit in the episode. The damage and pain are still there between the half brothers. I was surprised they worked together to escape their cell and shocked when Tal-Rho jumped in front of the Kryptonite bullets heading for Superman.

His sacrifice to save his half-brother shows character growth, and maybe he isn’t just the evil man we know. Bizarro revealed at a time in his world that he was close to the Bizarro version of Tal-Rho; maybe that sparked something within our Tal-Rho. I don’t see Tal-Rho becoming a hero in the series, but I can see him redeeming himself somehow. I trust the writers could make it work.

At points, it’s hard to review this show because I’ve said so many positive things already. Hopefully, based on the episodes this season, I won’t run out of things to praise. There will always be things to discuss, theorize, and debate with other fans of this phenomenal series. I can’t say it enough; people need to be watching this show.

    About Superman & Lois

After years of facing supervillains, monsters and alien invaders, the world’s most famous superhero, The Man of Steel aka Clark Kent and comic books’ famed journalist Lois Lane come face to face with one of their greatest challenges ever — dealing with being working parents in today’s society.

Complicating the already daunting job of raising two boys, Clark and Lois worry about whether their sons, Jonathan and Jordan, could inherit their father’s Kryptonian superpowers as they grow older.

Returning to Smallville to handle some Kent family business, Clark and Lois are reacquainted with Lana Lang and her Fire Chief husband, Kyle Cushing. The adults aren’t the only ones rediscovering old friendships in Smallville as the Kent sons are reacquainted with Lana and Kyle’s rebellious daughter, Sarah.

Of course, there’s never a dull moment in the life of a superhero, especially with Lois’ father, Gen. Samuel Lane looking for Superman to vanquish a villain or save the day at a moment’s notice.

Superman & Lois is available to stream on The CW now.
