Beyond The Infinite Two Minutes is a thoroughly entertaining Science Fiction film with many impressive continuous shots.
Within the first ten minutes of Beyond The Infinite Two Minutes I knew it was going to go one way or the other. Either it was a really smart Science Fiction concept that would be ever evolving and entertaining — or it was going to get very old and very repetitive, very quickly. Luckily, it is the first one, for several reasons. If you are a fan of sci-fi movies, unexpected twists, and good old fashioned fun, you are probably going to enjoy Beyond The Infinite Two Minutes.
Time travel and loops are not a new concept, however this movie brings some uniqueness to it by limiting the range to just two minutes. When the movie starts, Kato is in his room looking for his guitar pic when his monitor starts to talk to him. It is himself from two minutes in the future. The loop begins there and will instantly have audiences captivated as they try to figure it all out.
Due to the small window, Kato, joined by others very quickly, must constantly run up and down the stairs from the Cafe that he owns, to his room above it. These moments are often filmed in one continuous shot, which is not only impressive, it also adds to the intensity and suspense of the plot. These shots are what make the movie work, in all honesty. They make viewers feel like they are a part of the story, and the time loop, themselves.
The reason it does not get old is largely because new things are added as time goes on in order to keep it fresh. Even though we kind of know the near future, there are twists and turns mixed in to keep viewers on their toes. New characters are added as well. Toward the end it gets quite intense actually, and all ends in a very brilliant way that not only had me smiling, but had me thinking WOW, this was a good movie.
Beyond The Infinite Two Minutes clocks in at just over an hour and I think that was the perfect length for it. It is enough time to tell the complete story and avoid the time loop thing getting old and too repetitive. That said, I could have easily watched another 15 to 20 minutes of it, if done right.
Beyond The Infinite Two Minutes is an extremely creative Science Fiction movie that is pure fun to watch. It never gets old, and everything introduced has meaning. It goes to show that you can change the world, even in just two minutes time.

Born out of an acting workshop and shot on an iPhone, BEYOND THE INFINITE TWO MINUTES is a high-concept time-loop movie that transcends expectations with its inventive concept. Kato (Kazunori Tosa) is at a bit of a dead-end in life. He lives above the cafe he owns and feels that his life isn’t moving forward when, one day, his computer screen starts to talk to him.
The twist? It’s Kato from two minutes in the future; the sullen cafe owner has somehow stumbled on a very limited time loop. As he draws in his friends and coworkers, they all try to make sense of the weird phenomenon while also inventing creative ways to profit from their two-minute insight into the future.
