Titania is one of She-Hulk’s villains in Marvel Comics and is rumored to be a part of the new Disney+ show, so who is she?

    Titania Marvel Comics

Titania’s real name is Mary MacPherran and she grew up a scrawny girl who was always picked on by the other kids at school. She had one friend, Marsha Rosenberg, and the two of them were eventually approached by Doctor Doom and offered superpowers — after their hometown in the suburb of Denver, CO was ripped from Earth and used by Beyonder to create Battleworld.

Using advanced alien technology, Doom induced high level metahuman abilities to both MacPherran and Rosenburg, changing them both physically and mentally.

    What Are Titania’s Powers?

Mary took on the name Titania after receiving strength like a titan. She became much more confident, and changed from a scrawny little girl, to a muscular woman. She became an expert in street fighting, largely in part to her enhanced strength, stamina, and high level resistance to physical injury.

Titania took to being a villain, and is often associated with Baron Zemo’s Masters of Evil, as well Absorbing Man. She works for Doom quite often, battling superheroes, partly in a way to thank him for giving her her powers.

    Titania’s Connection To She-Hulk

Probably due to the fact that they are both tall, strong women, Titania quickly made an enemy of She-Hulk. The two have fought countless battles, most of which Titania has lost. Because of this, she truly hates She-Hulk and considers her an arch-enemy.

At one point in comic book history Titania obtained the Power Gem, and used it to power herself up enough to defeat She-Hulk. She was tricked into believing that she killed her enemy, at which point she felt like her life no longer had any meaning. She-Hulk used this to her advantage and stole the Power Gem from Titania, then used it to knock her out with a single punch.

    Is Titania In The MCU?

As of the time of writing this article, Titania is not a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, she is rumored to be appearing in the Disney+ show She-Hulk, and it is speculated she will be played by Jameela Jamil. Jamil is most known for her role in The Good Place.
