The Mighty Ones season 2 is coming and in support of it we chatted with Alex Cazares who voices Berry, and Josh Brenner who voices Twig.
The Mighty Ones is a fun for the whole family show that is sure to have EVERYONE cracking up while watching it! In support of season two coming to Hulu and Peacock we spoke with the extremely talented and hilarious Josh Brener, who voices Twig, and Alex Cazares, who voices Berry.
Season two is back with more antics, crazy adventures, and of course, as Josh puts them, sophisticated poop jokes. The great thing about this show is that kids and adults can both enjoy it. That is something both Alex and Josh like about it, and part of what made them want to work on it.
What Drew You To The Mighty Ones?
They both go into further detail, with Alex expressing that they have a ton of fun recording together, and it feels like a family. With The Mighty Ones, the cast is able to get really creative with their characters, and that is something she truly loves about it. She is always encouraged to adlib and improvise during recording sessions. She loves everything about the show, and she is a big fan of the creator Lynne Naylor, who also created many of her favorite shows from her childhood.
As for Josh, he was in from the moment he saw the initial storyboards. They had him howling with laugher and he knew right then that he wanted to be involved. He explains that the writers and creators have come up an unbelievably fun, super weird, and strange world that is both very sophisticated and adult at times, and has poop jokes — and what more could he really want?
Which Of Your Characters Would You Like To See Guest Star?
When asked which character that they have played, live action or animated, whom they would be thrilled to see enter the world of The Mighty Ones, Alex immediately thought to the Casagrandes! How much fun would it be for them to come hang out with the humans and stir up trouble? That would be a fantastic episode!
Josh went a little bit more obscure with his answer. On The Big Bang Theory he played an awkward comic book shop customer who could barely finish a sentence. He says this character would be a lot of fun to see interact with Berry, Twig, Leaf, and Rocksy.
Be sure to check out the full interview with Josh Brener and Alex Cazares because they talk about how they are like their characters, and even tell some super spooky ghost stories! This interview was an absolute blast, and you don’t want to miss it!
