The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Episode 4 is titled “The Whole World Is Watching” and it might be the best episode of the entire season.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Episode 3 left off with quite the cliffhanger, proving that Wakanda is getting involved in the show — but not revealing exactly how they would be. With Ayo declaring she is there for Zemo, will she be working with, or against, Sam and Bucky? Is Bucky the White Wolf? So many unanswered questions, ones that will hopefully be answered soon.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Episode 4 is titled “The Whole World Is Watching” and the thumbnail boasts a photo of Captain America and Battlestar — John Walker and Lemar Hoskins — suggesting we will be getting more of these two in this episode. Something fans likely do not want, as he is widely hated. However, this episode proved itself to be one of the best, read on for the review, but be warned, there are spoilers.

There is so much to love about this episode that it easily takes the ranking of my favorite one so far – especially coming off what I consider to be the weakest episode of the season. The writing for John Walker is exceptional. I went into this episode hating him, and came out of it loving to hate him — and yes there is a big difference there. Wyatt Russell is crushing this role, and I hope this show is not the end for his character. I would love to see U.S. Agent join the Dark Avengers and give us a Dark Reign story line. How epic would that be?
Speaking of incredible acting, the very beginning of this episode made me cry. Sebastian Stan embodying how Bucky feels to be free without saying a single word gave me chills. He knows this character inside and out, and that scene was perfect. Of course, it was a great way to confirm that YES, Bucky is the White Wolf, and also clue us in that we are going to be getting an epic Dora Milaje fight scene later on.
Zemo is also amazing in this episode. Him singing as he approached the kids was a super creepy moment, but also proved just how smart he is. He is great at getting information and then holding his cards close to his chest. What a great villain — one of the best the MCU has to offer, that is for sure.
Finally The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was able to make me feel something for Karli and the Flag Smashers. I was afraid it was too little too late for them, but at least I have moved to hating Karli now. I get why they are doing what they are doing, but she is going about it all wrong and I just don’t like her. She is a character hope to see end here, and not continue on in the MCU.
With the Super Soldier Serum all destroyed, and John Walker taking the last one — no surprise there, I speculated he would be superpowered by the end of the series — what is going to happen next? The dude snapped at the death of his friend, and has now murdered someone with the shield that represents the complete opposite of how he is acting.
Overall, this episode shines with its writing, acting, score, and action. Every character has some of their best moments in “The Whole World Is Watching” and there are sure to be some serious consequences in episode 5.
