A huge thank you to Disney for providing me with tickets to attend Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2019 with my family! We had a great time! All opinions expressed are 100% my own.
This year my family tackled Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party a bit differently. This was our 5th time attending, and we opted to spend more time collecting candy, eating special snacks, and riding the rides instead of doing character meet and greets. This was a little strange for me, I have to admit, but my girls asked if they could just run around and not wait in lines, so I agreed. Although next year, it is ON for the meet and greets again.
However, that does not mean I didn’t take out my map and make notes of who is where for you guys. Trust me, I know how important the rare character meet and greets are during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! They are for me too, but alas, I was outvoted three to one by my whole family.
Main Street, U.S.A.
If you are looking to find the man himself, Mickey Mouse, head directly to the right as soon as you enter Magic Kingdom. He is at Town Square Theater — and this year, he has some friends there as well! Jack Skellington and Sally are also meeting at Town Square Theater! That’s right, they have moved from their spot at the gazebo in Liberty Square. Perhaps this is because their line is always INSANE (like hours and hours and hours). At least you will be waiting inside and not outside in the heat for them — look on the bright side!
I will say that if you are looking to do even just one Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party meet and greet, this should be the one. They are absolutely amazing. Not only do they spend several minutes with each party, they are just so… FUN! By far my favorite rare Disney meet and greet!
Frontierland
While there are no stationed Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party character meet and greets in Fronteirland, there are a few roaming characters you should be on the lookout for. Brer Fox and Brer Rabbit make their rounds throughout the evening! They don’t often stop to take photos, but you can grab a quick one as they walk by. My youngest saw them from a far, but we were too late to snap a pic as they got lost in the crowd.
Fantasyland
Fantasyland is where it is at if you love special Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party characters meet and greets! When we were tackling as many as we could in a night, this is the place to hang out and plan your time — trust me! Here is who you can meet at the 2019 Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party in Fantasyland and where:
- Cinderella – Princess Fairytale Hall
- Princess Elena – Princess Fairytale Hall
- Princess Tiana – Princess Fairytale Hall
- Rapunzel – Princess Fairytale Hall
Something sad to note, the Princes are not in Princess Fairytale Hall this year. One of our favorite things was seeing Flynn Rider (and honestly I think him not being there had something to do with my 8 year old’s lack of interest in the meet and greets this year).
- Donald & Daisy (in costume) – Storybook Circus near Casey Jr. Splash n Soak Station – They rotate out, but sometimes you can catch them both together!
- Minnie Mouse (in costume) – Storybook Circus near Casey Jr. Splash n Soak Station
- Belle and Gaston – Gaston’s Tavern
- Ariel and Eric – Prince Eric’s Market (across from Ariel’s Grotto)
- Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet – Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
- Seven Dwarfs – inside Pete’s Silly Sideshow in Storybook Circus. Plan to wait a VERY long time for them if you wish to meet them. We have waited almost 3 hours in the past.
- Queen of Hearts and Tweedles – Mad Tea Party
- Alice and Mad Hatter – Mad Tea Party
Also keep an eye out for Anastasia and Drizella, who will be roaming around! They love to stop and chat, scowl, and pose for photos! Cruella DeVil is also roaming the area, but she seemed to be in quite a rush the night we saw her. We did snap a photo though!
Liberty Square
Now this one was tempting and I ALMOST convinced my family to go over and wait — The Gravediggers are at the gazebo. Now, this is where Jack and Sally used to be. And honestly we only saw them there because we were curious what the Jack and Sally line was like (we have waited over 4 hours for them before).
The Gravediggers did have a bit of a line, however. I would estimate it was about an hour or so wait. But really, that is a SUPER COOL and rare meet and greet for Disney, so hopefully we can grab them in 2020!
Adventureland
Adventureland has some really great Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party meet and greets — but nothing new for 2019. The hardest in this part of Magic Kingdom is by far Moana. While you will likely have to wait several hours for her, at least you will be in the shade of the Enchanted Tiki Room! Jafar is one of my favorite villains, hands down, so I love seeing him when I can!
- Aladdin with Abu – at the Agrabah Bazaar – They swap with Jasmine and Genie throughout the night.
- Jasmine with Genie – at the Agrabah Bazaar
- Tarzan, Jane, and Terk – near Swiss Family Treehouse
- Jafar – near Magic Carpets of Aladdin
- Captain Jack Sparrow – near Pirates of the Caribbean
- Moana – Enchanted Tiki Room queue
Tomorrowland
If you know me, you know I love a good villain! So that is why I am such a fan of the Lots-o’-Huggin’ Bear meet and greet! And you know what? He really smells like strawberries! You can find him in between the Carousel of Progress and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin — and he is totally worth the 40 or so minutes you will probably wait.
Also in Tomorrowland you can find Elvis Stitch — where else but at Stitch’s Alien Encounter! He has an insane line though, so be prepared to wait AT LEAST an hour and a half if you want to see him.
If this is your first year, check out my tips for attending Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party!
