You probably know this already, but I have two young daughters. They are 5 and 7 years old – and I might be a little biased, but they are little smartie pants. These girls are pretty brilliant, even their teachers have said so. There are many gifted and talented programs in the NYC area and they use the Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test® Second Edition (NNAT-2) to asses the general intellectual ability of kids. This test is for grades kindergarten through 12th – and these workbooks from The Test Tutor are a great way to help your kids study for it.

About the Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test
The Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test®Second Edition/NNAT®2 is a tool used to assess the general intellectual ability of children in grades kindergarten through 12th grade. While the NNAT-2 does not require reading, writing, or speaking to complete, the question types may be very different from any other test or schoolwork your child has experienced. If you want your child to perform at their best, you must expose them to the types of questions they will encounter. Here are some great revising tips that you should check out.

The Test Tutor Workbooks
My daughters are in kindergarten and second grade, so I was really excited to sit down with them and these workbooks to see how they did. These books have at least one full-length practice test (the 2nd grade one has THREE!!). Don’t worry parents, not only do they have an answer key, there is an explanation for the answers as well. I know I needed them for some questions, as smart as I like to think I am.
I was really proud of both my daughters since they absolutely crushed it with these study guides! My 7 year old did all three practice tests in the Grade 2 book and significantly improved with each one. This makes me really confident in The Test Tutor!
