Everyone knows a couple like Jack and Grace. He has looks and wealth, she has charm and elegance. You might not want to like them, but you do. You’d like to get to know Grace better. But it’s difficult, because you realize Jack and Grace are never apart. Some might call this true love. Others might ask why Grace never answers the phone. Or how she can never meet for coffee, even though she doesn’t work. How she can cook such elaborate meals but remain so slim. And why there are bars on one of the bedroom windows.

For eighteen year old Gia Winters, having a movie star for a father, a former Playboy bunny as a mother, a Hollywood mansion, and a closet stocked with Chanel is simply another day in the life. But her world is turned upside down when her father mysteriously hires a group of bodyguards to trail the family 24/7 and threatening phone calls from a “Dr. D” start buzzing daily. When Gia scores the coveted role of Miss Golden Globe, she is forced to strike a deal with her bodyguard, Jack, who is almost as arrogant as he is attractive. Juggling Gia’s romantic failures, fashion faux pas, and celebrity obsessions, the duo investigate a series of clues with the help of a police cadet, who has a special set of skills and an even better set of dimples. But with the Golden Globes just around the corner, danger levels rise higher than her stilettos as Gia learns that the biggest secrets might be the ones buried in her own home. In a place where the hills have eyes, high school nemeses, bad hair days, raging parties, and stolen kisses, there can only be trouble for a girl who was just starting to consider herself lucky.

I hope I am not the only one who loves Stampy! If you do not know who he is, check out his YouTube channel ASAP! He is an adorable Minecraft cat and he gets in to everything. His take on life is quite hilarious and I just know you will laugh until you cry while watching his antics – I know I have! When I heard that he was going to come out with a book, well, I was super excited! I was thrilled when I got to check it out earlier than most people – and my daughters and I have a blast browsing it. It is filled with comic strips, puzzles, games, and more! If you love Stampy, I encourage you to pick one up today – you will not regret it!
My husband is an engineer by trade so he is really big in to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) learning. He thinks that these are all very important things for kids to start learning early on, and I have to agree with him. We are always doing little experiments with our young daughters and will continue to do so as they get older. They tend to really take to these types of projects when they involve characters that they already know and love – like the cast of Frozen. So of course we just had to get the Disney Imagicademy Frozen Science Activity Book from Wonder Forge for them. Now, this does state it is before for kids ages 4 and up, and I tend to agree. Although my 3 year old can do some of the things herself, and loves to help out best she can with others!

My young daughters and I love to read and I usually try to theme our books around upcoming holidays. Halloween is one of their favorite holidays so we usually read spooky books starting in early September. I have put together a list of some of our favorites and where you can purchase them. These are great for any little one to help you get in the mood for Halloween!
If you are like me than you kind of live at Kohl’s. I love shopping there – they always have amazing prices and I can find just what I am looking for. In fact, I did a lot of shopping for my recent LA press trip there (read about walking the red carpet at the Inside Out premiere here). As I check out, I always notice the Kohl’s Cares section – and we grab things from it quite often. I love how it is usually a book and stuffed animal of some sort. My daughters love them – and I love giving back in such an easy way. They are priced at just $5 each, with 100 percent of the net profit supporting children’s health and education initiatives nationwide.
If you are looking to plan the ultimate Disney or Disney-Pixar Themed Party – then I have the book for you. Fittingly titled, The Ultimate Disney Party Book from EDDA USA, is filled with ideas to make your favorite Disney movies come to life! Just browsing through this book filled me with wonder. Not to mention my daughters squealing as I turned the pages. My oldest turns 4 next month and she wanted every party theme in this book.
