All 2022 Comic Book Movies Ranked From Worst to Best. There have been a lot of comic book movies this year, let’s rank them all.
All 2022 Comic Book Movies Ranked From Worst to Best
2022 has been a great year for movies as a whole but Comic Book movies have had a wide range of really bad to all time greats, today we will be ranking all 7 comic book movies that came out this year.

7. Thor: Love and Thunder
Is this overly harsh? Maybe. But this movie has potential to be one of the best MCU movies with Christian Bale entering the MCU as a villain, Thor’s character who has had a rollercoaster of a story since Ragnarok, and a possible emotional masterpiece with Jane Foster’s storyline… What actually happened? One of the worst MCU movies to date.
Everything in this film is treated like a joke, like an SNL skit that wasn’t supposed to be the final cut. The only even slightly positive thing about this movie is Christian Bale’s performance but even then the abysmal adaptation of Gorr almost outweighs it. Thor: Love and Thunder is a joke of an MCU movie and sadly not even one of the best working actors today could save it.

6. Morbius
Though 9th place might be technically a better movie, tempered expectations and a character with no past stories still makes Morbius so bad that it is still enjoyable.
Unlike Thor: Love and Thunder, Morbius is at least a good-bad. The jokes aren’t all that bad, the cinematography is actually creative, fun and enjoyable, but the story is still lackluster and it has some very very mediocre performances.

5. DC League of Super-Pets
For a kids movie this movie actually isn’t too bad. It has a really cool use of the DC characters we know and love, somehow creates a better Justice League than the actual DCEU, but most importantly it creates a bond that we can care about. Krypto and Superman’s relationship was surprisingly heartfelt and emotional but at the end of the day it is still a kids movie.
The premise is really basic, the dialogue is relatively corny and it is a little too long.

4. Black Adam
Does this movie deserve a 39% on Rotten Tomatoes? Definitely not, but is it near the best superhero movie of the year? Also, no. But it is still a really fun time.
The biggest issue with Black Adam isn’t even big plot points but more the general writing. It feels like every line in the movie was a quote you would hear in trailers and not in a good way. On the other hand the movie does have some epic fight sequences with Sabbac, Dr. Fate, and Black Adam himself.
It also did a super unique thing that no other superhero movie has really ever been able to do, keep the anti-hero an anti-hero.
With the inclusion of the JSA and the overall story with Sabbac, they managed to keep Black Adam as an antagonizing figure which is great for the future of the character. Sadly that wasn’t enough to keep the entire film up but still an entertaining watch nevertheless.

3. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Following the tragic passing of Chadwick Boseman, Wakanda Forever had a steep hill ahead of it but with phenomenal direction by Ryan Coogler, perfect performances from the entire cast and one of the best villains in the entire MCU, Wakanda Forever is an amazing feat.
This movie also won back many MCU fans that had lost hope in this universe by delivering a thought-provoking story along with deep and dark characters. Through all of this though, the runtime was a little bloated but the story overall was always entertaining and this film accomplished everything it needed to.

2. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
Though there isn’t much madness within the multiverse here I can’t help but love this movie. Doctor Strange is one of the best characters in the MCU and sadly he has become more of a pawn for the MCU to move forward and even though that is still the case in a few ways here, there are a lot of thematic elements to pull apart.
The best one being that Strange just can’t control everything. Without getting too deep into fate and themes here, this movie does a great job of having cameos but also keeping it focused on our hero and villain. Wanda still has a few issues (plot-wise) but thematically she fits into the story well and is absolutely brutal in every fashion.
This was also Sam Raimi’s entry back into comic book movies and you could 100% feel that, in the best ways. From his iconic transitions, characterization, action, and themes, this movie has Raimi-isms all over it and does nothing but elevate this already entertaining premise.

1. The Batman
Is this really a surprise to anyone?
The Batman is one of the greatest comic book movies to ever exist. Pattinson gives arguably the definitive performance as Batman/Bruce Wayne, along with the rest of the cast making the roles their own.
One of, if not the best, cinematographer of all time, Greg Freiser, gives this movie a look like no other, making Gotham its own character and using modern technology such as the virtual production to the best of its ability. Composer Micheal Giachinno also creates a definitive score for Batman, creating thematic layers within just a soundtrack.
This movie is a product of people who love and care about the character, a filmmaker like Matt Reeves, putting his 100% effort into a project to make it the best possible creation, and he succeeded.
The Batman can be talked about for hours on end but at the end of the day it is a modern day comic book movie masterpiece.
