Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is a new original Star Wars series that was announced at Star Wars Celebration 2022.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew – New Series Announcement
During the LucasFilm Studio Showcase panel at Star Wars Celebration 2022, Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Jon Watts, and Christopher Ford announce a new show starring Jude Law called Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. This series is about a group of ten year olds that get trapped in the Star Wars galaxy. It takes place after Return of the Jedi — during the Ahsoka and The Mandalorian time frame.
The creators stress that it may be about kids but it’s not for kids. Dave Filoni jokes that some are comparing it to The Clone Wars animated series, but to keep in mind they cut people’s heads off in that show.
Concept Art for the series, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew was released, however since they are still in pre-production there was nothing else to share. The series is about to start filming, and fans can expect a release in 2023 on Disney+.
