The dynamic between Agnes and the Borg Queen is interesting, since Agnes is trying hard for her good side to remain and not let the Borg Queen take completely over. Ríos notices that something is wrong with Agnes, and tries to talk to her, the Borg Queen convinces Agnes to kiss him, leaving them both confused about their relationship.

Dr. Soong meets Picard face to face, and tells him about their mutual friend: Q. Seeing Renee escape, and with confirmation that Q is close, Picard and Talla go after her. However, Agnes creates a distraction by starting to sing, very reminiscent of Data. The musical number was orchestrated by the Borg Queen, who has now gained full control of Agnes’ mind and body. Picard and Renee meet face to face, where he tells her about the wonders of space, and convinces her to go to her journey despite her fear, because according to him, “Fear is fear. Fear is smart, you understand the risks.”

As Picard and Renee head back, it is revealed that Q asked Dr. Soong to kill Renee, he approaches them with his car, and Picard pushes Renee out of the way, getting run over himself. Not knowing how to help him, Ríos calls Teresa who is shocked at how strange his body is. She doesn’t know he is a synth from the 24th century. Teresa confronts Ríos over the strange events, but he refuses to say the whole truth.

Kore, not convinced by what her father is saying, decides to investigate, where she finds out that he is now a disgraced scientist who has lost his license due to unethical practices. She finds numerous files in his computer of pictures from her childhood that she does not recognize, as well as video logs of him talking about multiple girls, the last video referring to her. Kore is most likely a clone.

Teresa manages to stabilize Picard, but he is still not waking up, not knowing why, Talla suggests they go into his mind to see why he isn’t waking up. Hesitant, Raffi agrees, saying “What else could go wrong?”, well that was quickly answered by a Borg Queen possessed Agnes making her way out to the streets of Los Angeles.

Continuing the mystery set up in the previous episode, the pieces are coming together slowly in Star Trek: Picard Episode 2×6. Fans now realize that perhaps the biggest threat is not Q, but the Borg Queen.
