One of my favorite shows is Preacher on AMC. I have been waiting for Preacher season 3 to arrive where I can watch it for free – and it just got added to Hulu not long ago! Of course, I was thrilled! My husband and I binged it fairly quickly – in less than a week. And honestly? We both thoughts this was the best season yet!
I always thought nothing would be able to beat season 1 of Preacher, but I was wrong. Don’t get me wrong, season two is great as well, but it didn’t come close to the first season. Season 3 though….every single thing about it was fantastic.
Jesse’s Family
One of my favorite things about Preacher is that they tend to spend each season in a place, more or less. The group tends to move on, which allows for the story to continue and progress in a natural state. The introduction of Jesse’s family was PURE PERFECTION this season. I loved every single thing about that story line.
I don’t want to give anything away, because it truly needs to be experienced with new eyes – but just enjoy it for what it is. It was so great to dive more in to his past, and learn more about where he came from. Why he is the way he is.
Fall More In Love With Cassidy
Of course, then we had Cassidy’s story line – meeting a vampire, just like himself. That was amazing as well. I did find myself yelling at him through the TV, telling him not to trust certain people – of course, he never listened.
When Cassidy decides to do the right thing – over and over again this season – well, you just cannot help but fall in love with him more. He is hands down my favorite character in this season. Pretty much has been since the beginning.
The Holy Grail Gets…Weirder
Then we have the Grail. The way this story line developed was great. Now I can’t find myself listening to All American Rejects without thinking of Humperdoo. I have always loved the Holy Grail story line – them trying to make Jesse the Messiah – and Jesse wanting nothing to do with it.
But the way this story line went was a complete (and amazing) shock to me this season. We discover who is in charge of the Grail, and I get flashbacks of Fat Bastard in Austin Powers. Once you watch it, you will know exactly what I mean!
Eugene and Hitler
Well, we don’t get too much from these guys – at least not as much as I was hoping for. It took six or seven episodes for them to even show up. Although, I will say, where Hitler was left at in this season is pretty amazing. I am super looking forward to season four to see what comes next!
