My family loves Halloween. We have gone all out decorating already, complete with three singing pumpkins out front of our home (see the video of This Is Halloween here). I am ashamed to say that I had never heard of the “Boo It Forward” tradition until a couple weeks ago. This is something that is right up my alley – and that my girls and I will be putting together every year from now on!
It is a pretty simple concept. Just put together a home decorated bag of treats and leave it on one of your neighbor’s porches anonymously. Be sure to include a card with instructions on how to Boo It Forward letting them know to create their own bag of goodies and to leave it on someone’s porch. The recipient would then have 48 hours to do it to their next door neighbor or friend which creates a chain throughout the neighborhood. I mean, how fun is this! The tradition of “Booing your Neighbor” has been around for several years now and it has really grown in popularity as a fun, safe, family-oriented activity. It’s also known as “Ghosting” or “Boo-gramming.”
Today, Walmart boo’d me with a basket filled with candy and a copy of Ghostbusters: Answer the Call Extended Edition, which hit stores everywhere today! The Extended Edition is packed with over 2 hours of more laughs and fun scares! Features include: 2 Hysterical Haunting Gag Reels, 4 Unearthed Deleted Scenes, 11 Totally Possessed Alternate Scenes & so much more! I have been dying to see this movie (no pun intended) so I was thrilled to see it on my front porch. This weekend I will be (finally) watching it with my husband. We love the ladies who are in the cast and have heard great things about it. I know it is going to be hilarious and I cannot wait.
