How Was Hulk Able To Heal His Arm?

Marvel fans know that Hulk seriously injured his arm after he used the “new and improved” infinity gauntlet to bring back all of the people that disappeared during the blip with a snap of his fingers. He is the one that took on this task because of his ability to handle Gamma radiation, and therefore he was the most likely to survive.

Later in the film, Tony Stark snaps in order to stop Thanos and his minions, but gives up his life in the process. During one of the end credit scenes in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings Hulk is seen as Bruce Banner not Smart Hulk, and his arm is in a sling.

When the trailer for the She-Hulk series was released, fans everywhere immediately noticed that he no longer has his arm in a sling, and were speculating online as to how that happened. She-Hulk: Attorney At Law has now answered that question.

In the first episode, Mark Ruffalo is seen as Bruce, and he talks about how he uses a device he built in order to change back and forth between Smart Hulk (a name that he claims he did not give himself but rather was given by society) and his human version.

After the car crash that mixes his blood with Jennifer’s, causing her to become a Hulk as well, he studies her blood. This is so that he can help to understand her and her transformation better. Not only is she able to control the turning process a lot quicker than he is, she is able to maintain the same level of consciousness between the two — essentially staying the same person.

This is very similar to how her character is in the comic books after she has a blood transfusion from her cousin that saves her life. In both instances she is involved in a car crash, however in the comics she is not with her cousin, but he does offer to give her his blood in order to keep her alive.

However, Bruce realizes that her blood processes Gamma radiation at a much quicker rate than his, and he uses it to heal his arm. Thus, he will no longer need to worry about that pesky sling getting in his way or hindering the full use of it.

This is just one of the several MCU questions that She-Hulk: Attorney At Law answers in a very self-aware way.
