The Disney Wish has an adult exclusive Palo, but it is a Palo Steakhouse. Here’s how the Disney Wish’s Palo Steakhouse is different from Palo.
How Disney Wish’s Palo Steakhouse Is Different Than Palo
The Disney Cruise Line ships are no stranger to adult exclusive fine dining. On the Disney Dream Series ships, there is a Palo, and there is a Palo on the new Disney Wish as well. However, it is a Palo Steakhouse and yes, there are differences.
Whether you are looking for a night away from the kids, or are traveling without children and wish for a quiet, romantic dinner, Palo Steakhouse has you covered.
So, how is the Disney Wish Palo Steakhouse different than Palo? Let’s discuss.
Palo Steakhouse Menu
Just taking a look at the Palo Steakhouse menu will have guests who have dined at Palo realizing they are in for something different. It is named a steakhouse for a reason, after all.
The Palo Steakhouse offers many different steak options, from choice cuts, all the way to Wagu.
That said, there is much more than steak being served here. Those who enjoy seafood, lamb, chicken, and vegetarian meals will also have delicious and delectable options to choose from.
There is still a four course meal option at the Palo Steakhouse, where guests can choose between a few appetizers, saldas, entrees, and desserts. Or as Palo Steakhouse calls them, antipasti, inslata, il secondo, and dolce. This option is $45 per guest, and if you add wine, just $70 per guest.
Palo Steakhouse Theme
The Palo Steakhouse is themed much differently than Palo, and this is perhaps the most obvious difference. Inspired by Cogsworth from Beauty and the Beast, there is a bit of a steampunk feel as much of the decor involves gears.
Palo Steakhouse Food Review
The meal at Palo Steakhouse starts off with a basket of bread, the very same from the Palo restaurants on the other Disney Cruise Line ships. All three breads are delicious, and they deliver enough for the whole table to enjoy some of each.
For appetizers, we selected the Caprese and the Tuna, each of which was absolutely delicious. Yes, they are small portions, however there is a big meal to follow, and they were just enough to get us started.
The Osso Buco was tender and delicious, with a wonderful risotto that pulled all the flavors together.
A side of asparagus was enough for two adults to share, and had wonderful flavor.
With many steak options, it was hard to decide on an entrĂ©e, but the prime cut angus beef tenderloin with salsa verde sauce really hit the spot. We will be back again to try more. There are five different sauces to choose from and eight cuts of steak. That doesn’t even include the pasta, vegetarian, veal, and chicken options.
About the Palo Steakhouse:
Inspired by Cogsworth from Beauty and the Beast, this adult-exclusive restaurant strikes a balance between time-honored Italian fare and modern steakhouse dining.
Adult-exclusive restaurants aboard Disney Cruise Line ships are elegant dining experiences. Guests are requested to dress in a manner consistent with the restaurant’s sophistication. Formal or semi-formal attire is recommended.
Dress casual attire with a polished look is permitted (such as dress pants, jeans in good condition, collared shirts and blouses and lifestyle shoes). Clothing such as T-shirts, swimwear and sports attire is not permitted.
Reservations are required in advance, and can be made on the Disney Cruise Line website. There are many nightly options, but keep in mind, this experience does book up quickly.
