The Boys Season 3 just revealed that The Deep is back in The Seven. During an exclusive interview, actor Chace Crawford explains what this means to him.

The Boys season 3 has just revealed in its third episode that The Deep is officially back in The Seven. Considering what he did to Starlight in the first season, and the fact that he spend the entire second season in Sandusky, Ohio, this might come as a shock to fans. However, since Homelander wants to do anything and everything to annoy Starlight and make her uncomfortable at this point, including forcing her to be in a fake relationship with him, The Deep was let back on the team.
What Does It Mean To The Deep To Be Back In The Seven?
During an exclusive interview with Mama’s Geeky we asked actor Chace Crawford what this means to his character. He didn’t have to think long before blurting out “Everything! So much!” Crawford adds that this is so great for The Deep. For Chase himself, he admits he had fun with season 2 and getting to do his own thing as The Deep, but it was so good to be back in The Seven.
“In season two, I got to do my own mushroom trip of sorts. So it was fun like in that way, as an actor, to be able to have those scenes by myself. But it’s good to be back. As myself and as The Deep, he’s overjoyed. He’s got Cassandra as his partner on the side, pulling the strings.” – Chace Crawford
Crawford explains that The Deep desperately wants to hang onto his celebrity identity that is within The Seven, and his place in the pecking order. He thinks he is the number two guy to Homelander and therefore he is always trying to cater to Homelander’s needs. In The Boys season 3 the backbone of The Deep’s storyline is loyalty, and the loyalty tests that Homelander puts hum through.
How far will he go to please Homelander and to stay in The Seven? “He’s pretty desperate.” After seeing what The Deep did at that dinner hosted by Homelander, the answer is likely pretty far. If it is up to Cassandra, he will do whatever it takes to remain in good graces, that’s for sure.
Continue The Deep’s journey throughout The Boys season 3 as new episodes air every Friday on Prime Video, until the epic finale on July 8th.
