The Boys is of the best running shows is finally back with premiered with it’s first 3 episodes of The Boys season 3 — and none of them disappointed.
Warning: The Boys Season 3 Episodes 1-3 Spoilers Ahead.
There is SO much that happens in these first 3 episodes that it would be impossible to cover every little storyline and plot point but there are a few key ones that I truly just love. With that being said, there is also only 1 storyline that I don’t like that much, that is the Frenchie and Cherie story. It’s not necessarily a bad one, but it hasn’t really gone anywhere so far. Other than that I’m actually loving everything else we got.
We get a lot more of Starlight and Hughie’s relationship and with this came the story of introducing 2 new members into The Seven. I love this show a lot and one of the main reasons is because they can give us a regular story of this relationship but integrate it into the selection of new members story, and through that more things that tick Homelander off, like the selection of who will be in The Seven.
Speaking of Homelander… HE IS INSANE. This season he is completely of the rails and I love it. It all starts in episode 1 but in episode 2, Stormfront kills herself, on Homelander’s birthday, and he literally tells another girl that her life isn’t worth anything and she should jump… LIKE WHAT.
At the end of the episode he finally cracks and he does it on live television saying how he is the most powerful human and he should be basically worshipped. In The Boys episode 3 we find out that his ratings are up in the “countryside” but dropped in “suburban” areas and this fuels him even more.

Other than that we also get a lot to do with Butcher. Ryan is now in a safehouse and after taking the V23 (aka Temp V) we get this super sick fight scene between Mr. Powder and Butcher. The action is stepped up to a whole new level and just in the first 3 episodes that is show so I can’t wait for the rest of the show.
While all the boys are at the safehouse Mallory gives them the introduction/story about Solider Boy but sadly we don’t actually get to see him in modern day. But I can actually appreciate the storytelling here a lot because it seems like every (needed) relationship is set up with him, with MM, Butcher, and The Seven, so right when he comes into play we can get right to the meat of things.
Before we talk about the ending of episode 3 there are some other storylines that I liked such as A-train and how he is going to start helping his community, MM and his connection with Soldier Boy, Starlight becoming co-captain of The Seven, Nadia being Stan Edgar’s daughter, and The Deep being reintroduced to The Seven.
And that is where we get to the end of episode 3 where at the selection for the new member of The Seven, Homelander says to the world that him and Starlight are madly in love and have a relationship. Though I think this was to boost their “co-captain ratings” higher, Starlight uses this to her advantage as during the second take of the scene she kisses him.
My jaw, was on the floor. I was not expecting that at all but it makes sense as Hughie himself told Starlight that she needs to buy more time for them so this was her plan…
As a whole The Boys Season 3 has started of with a BANG! All 3 episodes were near perfect and these stories are going to culminate into something so epic by the end.
Episode 1 Rating: 9.5 out of 10
Episode 2 Rating: 8.5 out of 10
Episode 3 Rating : 9.5 out of 10

About The Boys Season 3
It’s been a year of calm. Homelander’s subdued. Butcher works for the government, supervised by Hughie of all people. But both men itch to turn this peace and quiet into blood and bone. So when The Boys learn of a mysterious Anti-Supe weapon, it sends them crashing into the Seven, starting a war, and chasing the legend of the first Superhero: Soldier Boy.
The Boys is a fun and irreverent take on what happens when superheroes—who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and as revered as gods—abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. Intent on stopping the corrupt superheroes, The Boys, a group of vigilantes, continue their heroic quest to expose the truth about The Seven and Vought—the multibillion-dollar conglomerate that manages the superheroes and covers up their dirty secrets. It’s the seemingly powerless against the super powerful.
Season Three of The Boys stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and Jensen Ackles.
The Boys Season 3 first 3 episodes are streaming on Prime Video now.
