Supernatural has come to the Marvel Cinematic Universe — Here are the 8 Supernatural Marvel Characters set to take over the MCU!

It’s really quite remarkable when you think about it. Fourteen years on from the release of Iron Man, and the MCU has taken us just about everywhere.
So far, we’ve been into deep space; travelled backwards, forwards, and to the very end of time; and even found a way to squeeze into the quantum realm. It’s a journey that’s found us crossing paths with an array of heroes and villains, however, there are still so many fantastical characters yet to be discovered.
We’ve met plenty of aliens, gods, androids, and super soldiers along the way, but we’ve barely scratched Marvel’s supernatural surface. Yet, with the release of Moon Knight now upon us, and with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness just around the corner, all that’s about to change, as the MCU prepares to get mystical like never before.
So, with the door (portal?) to the supernatural about to be thrown wide open, here are my picks for yet to be seen mystical characters that could have big futures in the MCU.

MAN-THING
Not to be mistaken for DC’s Swamp Thing, Man-Thing may have been a hard sell for the MCU a few years back, but as things stand, Marvel would be crazy not to consider bringing one of their most fascinating monsters to life.
With a pinch of science here and a dash of dark magic there, the origin of Man-Thing (aka Dr Ted Sallis) is a heady mix of super soldier serum, mutation, and mysticism, and feels tailormade for the Marvel Cinematic Universe right now.
Over the years, Man-Thing’s adventures have seen him have run-ins with everything from demons to ghosts to Howard the Duck, so the potential really is right there for him to pop up anywhere going forward.

BROTHER VOODOO
Now, with the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness imminent, there’s every chance this guy’s MCU debut is just around the corner, however, as we speak, Brother Voodoo/Jericho Drumm is nowhere to be seen, so who knows.
With Doctor Strange now a key figure in the universe, and with Wanda going full Scarlet Witch on us, magic is about to play a huge part in this franchise’s future, which makes the introduction of Jericho Drumm inevitable.
As the name suggests, Brother Voodoo is a heroic practitioner of voodoo and black magic, and has a history in the comics of popping up everywhere, acting as a reliable ally to the Avengers, Spider-Man, and Moon Knight, among others, even temporarily becoming Earth’s Sorcerer Supreme at one point, so the MCU stage really is set for his big arrival.

DRACULA
Yes, we’re talking about that Dracula here, and yes, Marvel have their very own version of him, but while folding such an iconic villain into the MCU has potential to fall flat on its face, there’s absolutely no reason why Kevin Feige and co can’t pull it off.
With Mahershala Ali’s vampire-hunting Blade on his way, and with Moon Knight’s encounters with him now internet legend, this may just be the time to pull the trigger on Dracula and set him lose on an unsuspecting universe.

SATANA & DAIMON HELLSTROM
Considering it was unceremoniously dumped onto Hulu/Disney+ and never spoken of again, you’d be forgiven for forgetting a Helstrom series ever existed in the first place, so while Satana and Daimon have technically already been introduced in some capacity, if there were any Marvel TV characters that deserve an MCU do-over, its these guys.
As the offspring of Satan himself, the siblings wield almost unlimited hellish power, while bringing with them a fascinating thematic premise, so their potential to become big players in this universe is certainly there; and if Marvel continues along the dark path they’re heading down, the stage is absolutely set for Satana and Daimon Hellstrom to light a fire under the MCU’s ass.

MAGIK
Like a few others on this list, Illyana Rasputin/Magik already has a live-action appearance to her name, having been brought to life by the talented Anya Taylor-Joy in the aggressively average The New Mutants, however, with Fox’s X-Men a thing of the past, and with mutants in the mainline MCU on the horizon, Magik reappearing (along with Taylor-Joy, hopefully) now feels like a distinct possibility.
As a mutant who spent her childhood stuck in a demonic limbo where her soul was used to form a magical sword (as you do), Illyana has one foot in the X-Men and the other firmly in the supernatural, a potent combination that could see her play a big part in the MCU somewhere down the line.

MEPHISTO
You just knew he had to pop up in the end. I mean, if all the post-WandaVision memes and the collective power of fan speculation don’t will Mephisto into MCU existence eventually, what’s even the point?
In all seriousness, wielding vast supernatural power and being straight-up immortal makes Mephisto one of the most formidable villains in the Marvel canon, so it really is a matter of when, and not if, he materializes in the MCU to show us he is far more than just an internet punchline.

GHOST RIDER
Of course, this flame-headed hero has already played his part in the MCU through Gabriel Luna’s Robbie Reyes in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and as great as that portrayal was, for many, there is only one true Ghost Rider in the Marvel Universe.
After suffering through two terrible Nicolas Cage films, the most iconic character to carry the Ghost Rider moniker – Johnny Blaze – really does deserve a shot at redemption, and what better way to do it than to resurrect him in the MCU, hopefully with his Midnight Sons team not far behind.
From the flaming skull head to his hellfire chain and his fiery motorbike, Ghost Rider may feel a little out there, but considering the craziness we’ve seen in the MCU recently, Blaze should feel at home there.
