The Xbox Series X is out today and I was one of the lucky ones that got one — so here it is unboxed! I also included an unboxing video.
Something you probably know about me already is that I am a massive gamer — so of course I needed to get the next-gen consoles this November! I was lucky enough to secure both the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 so don’t worry, I will be putting up a comparison soon.
There will also be full reviews coming after I get to experience the systems, but for now, here is the first unboxing! The first to arrive is the Xbox Series X and while unfortunately there aren’t really any launch games, but that doesn’t mean I am not excited about it! Here are my first impressions.
Everything Inside The Box
As soon as you open it up you see this brick, for lack of a better word, and the words “power your dreams”. I love that! It actually gave me chills to see!
There really isn’t much more inside the box, though. The console itself, of course, a controller and batteries, and two cords — HDMI and power. Oh, and of course a little booklet of legal and warranty stuff that no one will read. Ever.
My favorite thing about the console is the holes on the top with the green. This is so sharp looking and a nice detail that I appreciate. Because the way that it looks is actually important to a lot of gamers, and I am one of them.
It’s So Heavy!
This sucker is HEAVY! If you watch my unboxing video I even get out of breath holding it up to move stuff around. This is probably partly from being out of shape — thanks 2020 — but it is BIG. Just look at it compared to the Xbox One X.
The Xbox Series X is about four times the size of the previous generation console. That is crazy! However, it is very powerful and has a lot of storage so I suppose I get it. It actually looks really nice up on my bookshelf.
