2 Hearts is a movie that is based on a true story. It is a beautiful movie that is sure to warm your heart, inspire you, and even make you shed a few tears.

Movies that are based on trues stories often have a different feel to them. They seem to weigh more heavily on me, knowing that this actually happened, to some degree anyways. 2 Hearts is no different. This movie is extremely heartwarming and inspiring. Within the first 15 minutes I was completely hooked and invested in the story — well, both stories. This movie is about two different couples, who don’t even know each other, but become connected in the end.

I was a little nervous at first knowing that the movie shows two totally different stories — would it be disjointed and cut together weird? Would that force me to not really connect with either story, or one more than the other? The answer is no. They did a great job of transitioning back and forth. 2 Hearts never feels disconnected. It flows seamlessly, right up until the final moments.

I have to admit, I didn’t know much about the story at all going into this movie. That was on purpose because I wanted what happened to be a surprise to me. I wanted to really feel the story as it progressed. This movie made me feel the story lines alright. I was completely engulfed in the film and felt a connection to every character. I was completely invested in their lives, and their health.

2 Hearts does a fantastic job of making you care about all of the characters — no matter how small their role. Take Chris’ brothers for example — neither one of them are in the film that much, but the acting was so powerful that I connected with them and cared about their feelings, almost as much as I did the main characters.

The main thing that I got from this movie is living life to its fullest, and holding on to those that you love. When it ended I wanted nothing more than to see my friends and family that mean the most to me. And while that is nearly impossible because of the state of the country right now, I had to do the next best thing. Call them. Video chat them. And just let them know how important they are to me.

    Overall Thoughts

2 Hearts is a story that is based on true events — well, really two stories. While Chris and Sam don’t seem to have much in common with Jorge and Leslie besides love, they eventually do. The movie seems to fly by as the story progresses. You are sure to love each and every one of the characters in 2 Hearts. And when it comes to an end you will likely have a new appreciation for all of your loved ones, and might even be inspired to do some good.

Be warned, if you are someone who easily gets emotional like me, have tissues handy. Especially for the last thirty minutes or so. I cried so hard that I got a headache and my face was red and puffy for hours. That is a good thing though, this movie made me cry a good cry. One that I needed. One that inspired me to hug all my loved ones. And just like Chris’ father says, call relatives I haven’t talked to in a while and let them know how much they mean to me.

    About 2 Hearts

For two couples the future unfolds in different decades and different places, but a hidden connection will bring them together in a way no one could have predicted. Based on an inspirational true story, 2 Hearts is a romantic journey that celebrates life, love and generosity of spirit, and challenges audiences to believe miracles are possible.

Charismatic young Australian actor Jacob Elordi (“Euphoria,” The Kissing Booth) plays Chris, a college freshman whose love for a spirited classmate played by Tiera Skovbye (“Riverdale,” “Once Upon a Time”) helps him find the purpose he has been searching for.  In another place and time, Adan Canto (“Designated Survivor,” “Narcos”) plays Cuban exile Jorge, who falls for well-traveled flight attendant Leslie, played by Radha Mitchell (Man on Fire, The Shack).

Though they were never meant to meet, fate has something entirely unexpected in store for both couples that dramatically changes the course of their lives.

2 Hearts hits theaters October 16th!

You’d think you would have rated it higher than 3.5 if you liked the movie. That rating is similar to not liking it.

I mean, that is a 7/10… Which is pretty decent in my opinion.
