MARVEL has always been a big part of my life — ever since I was a little girl. I started reading comics when I was 8 years old, and fell in love with many of the characters. To think that MARVEL is celebrating 80 years is crazy to me! If in just about 30 years it means this much to me, I know it means a lot to other fans (of all ages). If you know anything about me, you know I love collectibles! To celebrate MARVEL’s 80th Anniversary, they have a lot of amazing collectibles available on Amazon — and you know I grabbed a few!
Funko Pop!
If you have seen my “What’s Behind Me?” office tour video on YouTube, then you know I love me some Funko Pop! I have quite the collection — and it just keeps growing and growing! So when I noticed the Amazon Marvel store had a few special ones that I didn’t have already, I had to order them! The first is a special MARVEL’s 80th Anniversary First Appearance of the Human Torch Pop! I knew right away where I would be displaying this collectible — next to my graded Human Torch comic! If I need to tell you that we don’t mean Johnny Storm, we mean Jim Hammond (he had the name first you guys).
Iron Man
These days I can barely say the words “Iron Man” without choking up. I love him 3000, and so it was necessary for me to add the MARVEL’s 80th Anniversary Legends Vintage-Comic Inspired Iron Man figure to my collection. I can’t decide if I want to take him out of the box, because he is THAT cool. But I do know one thing, if I do, I am totally putting on his unmasked Tony Stark head instead of his Iron Man helmet. Isn’t that fun that you can change his heads out? You can change his blasters out too! Fun for kids — and fun for parents and fans that have it on display!
LEGO Sets
My husband and I both LOVE to build LEGOs. In fact, we often sit down with our daughters and build huge sets as a family. Some of our favorites have been MARVEL related, but there are a few we have not purchased yet. Well, that list just got shorter because I had to pick up the Avengers: Infinity War: Ultimate Battle set that features (my favorites) the Guardians of the Galaxy! Now the hard part is to find the perfect place to display it…
