Thank you DreamWorks for sending my family a kit to make our very own Captain Underpants Pumpkin! All opinions expressed are 100% my own.

My girls are obsessed with Captain Underpants. They loved the movie, and now they love the DreamWorks show. When I say love, I mean they watch it constantly — every season, all the way through. They probably know every line of every episode. They also collect the comics, which makes this geeky mama very proud. So when I asked them if they wanted to help me make a Captain Underpants pumpkin, they jumped at the chance!
If your little ones like Captain Underpants, they are sure to want this DIY pumpkin in front of your house this Halloween season. But don’t worry, it is super simple to make, and I am going to show you how.

Captain Underpants Pumpkin Materials
- Large Pumpkin
- White Underpants
- Red Fabric
- Pencil
- Paintbrushes
- Scissors
- Black Paint
- White Paint (optional)
You might even have most of these items at home, making this a really cheap DIY.

How To Make Your Captain Underpants Pumpkin
First, place the white underwear around your pumpkin. If it is too large, you can secure in the back with a rubber band or safety pins.

Next, cut the red fabric in to a cape shape, and tie it around your pumpkin.

Then, use a pencil to lightly draw the face on your pumpkin. You can use the photo of Captain Underpants below as reference if needed.

Last, use the black paint to go over the pencil. The optional white paint can be used to color in the teeth (my girls did not want to do that step).

TRA-LA-LAAAAAAA! You are done!

About Captain Underpants
George Beard and Harold Hutchins are two overly imaginative pranksters who spend hours in a treehouse creating comic books. When their mean principal threatens to separate them into different classes, the mischievous boys accidentally hypnotize him into thinking that he’s a ridiculously enthusiastic, incredibly dimwitted superhero named Captain Underpants.
The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants can be found on Netflix!
