Aladdin was always my favorite Disney animated movie when I was a child (and OK, still is now) so when the live action version was announced, I was a tad worried. But it was all for naught because I ended up LOVING the live action Aladdin, almost more than the original. I said ALMOST. And now it is available to take home on Blu-ray!

A Bracelet Fit For A Princess

To celebrate, not only am I giving you a chance to win a copy for yourself, I am sharing some pretty amazing Aladdin themed DIYs with you! First up is an Aladdin-inspired Rhinestone Cuff Bracelet that my good friend Amy over at As The Bunny Hops made. If you have seen the film than you know just how important Jasmine’s bracelet is — so this is a really cool craft.

Of course the fact that I can pull of making it means it is fairly easy to do as well, so don’t worry, this isn’t one you will be struggling with for hours.

Food Fit For A King

You can’t have a movie night without snacks. I am pretty sure there is a rule against that somewhere. That is why I want to share this delicious Fig Jam Cookie recipe with you! I literally cannot hear the word jam now without cracking up (if you have seen the live action Aladdin already then you know why). Plus these are my favorite type of cookies so it’s a win win! Yum!

  1. In both movies I really liked the part where Aladdin met the Genie and they had their "song and dance" sequence. The movies were similar but had some great differences and I enjoyed them both.
  2. I love the original DIsney animated Aladdin and while I missed seeing the live-action in theaters, I can't wait to watch it on blu-ray/digital!
