Thank you to DC for sending this along for me to check out! All opinions expressed are 100% my own.

Super Sons_ The Polarshield Project is a Super Fun Ride

If you truly know me, you know I love comics books. Yes, I prefer Marvel, but I love me some DC too. I mean, my daughter is named Ivy after Poison Ivy for a reason. I have to admit, about 5 pages in to the new graphic novel DC Super Sons: The Polarshield Project, I was hooked. There was no way I could put it down without knowing what happened next. And a couple hours later I was finished with it. The story sucked me right in, and remained compelling throughout. This comic took me on a super ride, and I passed it right on to my oldest daughter to check it out.

Ok, I admit it. I am not a big fan of Superman. He seems too goody-two-shoes to me and frankly, boring. That is one of the reasons I like the end of Man of Steel so much. But his son? Yea, I actually really enjoyed reading his son’s story. Surprising though because he is a lot like his father. Batman is probably my favorite DC Comics hero so I could totally get behind learning more about his son. Seeing these two team up, well that might be one of my favorite comic team ups!

    Safe For Kids?

I think so! My daughters have seen Avengers: Infinity War so honestly, we are pretty lenient with what they see and read. Of course there is some violence, but it truly is not that bad. The Polarshield Project teaches kids some valuable lessons and, while I want to stay away from spoilers, adults could stand to read it too.

Plus when one of your favorite authors has only good things to say, you know you are going to love it!

About Super Sons: The Polarshield Project

Jon Kent and Ian Wayne are opposites in every way except one–they are the sons of the World’s Greatest Heroes, Superman and Batman! To uncover a global conspiracy, this unlikely duo will need to learn to trust each other and work together to save the Earth. But who is the mysterious Candace, and what secrets does she hold that could be the key to everything?

The polar ice caps have nearly melted away, causing devastation to coastal cities. Erratic, deadly weather forces everyone inland, tearing families apart. Earth is facing its greatest crisis–and Superman and Batman are nowhere to be found.

We are really looking forward to reading the continuation of this story in Super Sons Book 2: The Foxglove Mission.
