    Week 6: Nutrisystem is Still Working

    At the beginning of this week I told myself this was it. Back to the normal after vacation – I was going to follow Nutrisystem to a “T”. My husband was going away on business and that meant it would be easier for me to stick to it. Well, it was the opposite. It also happened to be school vacation week and my two daughters were a bit off. Their schedules were different and it was strange for them to not have daddy home so they were just not the same. My mother-in-law came by with dinner a few nights so that threw me off a little bit too. I did great with breakfast and lunch though, and it did show at this week’s weigh-in. I am just about halfway through the three month program now and feeling great. I have lost just about 15 pounds! Woohoo! That makes me one happy mama!

    To get to my goal, I have to lose just over 6 pounds. But like I said before, that is actually the lowest weight my doctor wants to see me at. She says I am very healthy right now and she is proud of me. So that makes me happy too. I just need to lose a little bit more and then maintain my loss. Nutrisystem has really taught me about portion control. Even when I do eat or order out now, I am very cautious about what I get and how much of it I eat. I have learned things that I will keep with me for the rest of my life.

    No new foods to discuss this week, I ate all old favorites. I will say that the french toast for breakfast, the chicken and cheese quesadilla for lunch, and the Broccoli Stuffed Chicken for dinner are my favorites. I still cannot get over how good the food is! It really is delicious. It makes this whole experience feel like a lifestyle, NOT a diet.

    Starting this week, I really do need to be better about working out. I am getting in about 3 days a week, when my goal is at least 5. We had vacation, and then the flu circulating, and then me being alone with the girls – life just got out of hand. I love to workout so I have been craving it. I cannot wait to get back in an everyday routine.
