Every character has a reason for what they are doing
One of the best things about Blood of Zeus is that every single character is easy to relate to. They might be awful Gods, but they have a reason for what they are doing. Blood of Zeus season 2 gives every character an incredible arc, but there are two specifically that will have viewers confused about who they find themselves rooting for.
Seraphim was a fan favorite from the start, but this season his story expands. Audiences around the world will be shocked to learn of his backstory, something that voice actor Elias Toufexis admits was a surprise to him as well. Serpahim is given a love story that adds a depth to him and allows us to explore his reasoning.
This idea came from Charley Parlapanides and is something his brother, Vlas, didn’t really get at first. It sounded like a good idea, but how would it all come together? It wasn’t until they started writing it that they knew they had something special.
The other character arc that stands out is Hades. Fred Tatasciore expected to be voicing someone dark and sinister, but when he started reading the script he was elated to learn there is a lot more to Hades than you might think. He points out that Hades is often confused with Lucifer or Satan, but just because he is someone else entirely.
Blood of Zeus season 2 dives into the myth of Hades And Persephone, giving viewers a love story that will stick with them far longer than they expect it to. We learn what the Underworld has done to Hades, and that he doesn’t really want to be there.
Will there be a season 3 of Blood of Zeus?
Once fans get to the end of Blood of Zeus season 2, it is certain they will be begging for a season 3. While it is not yet greenlit by Netflix, creators Charley and Vlas Parlapanides assure us that they have plans in mind for where the story is going.
The first ten days of streaming numbers need to be good enough for Netflix, but if they are, fans will not have to wait nearly as long for Blood of Zeus season 3 as they did season 2. The Parlapanides brothers promise that it will be streaming within a year, so get to watching on May 10th!
A Medusa series is in the works
Another treat that the Parlapanides brothers have in store for Greek mythology fans is a series following Medusa. Should Blood of Zeus season 2 pull the numbers that Netflix hopes for, that will also be greelit. Charley and Vlas do not reveal much about the series, but we certainly cannot wait for it.
About Blood of Zeus Season 2
Following Zeus’ demise, a power vacuum emerges amongst the gods, leaving Heron, Zeus’ demigod son, struggling to find his place. He is racked with loss and hears a mysterious refrain in his dreams, prodding him to save his brother, Seraphim, who is suffering the terrors of the Underworld. Unbeknownst to Heron, Hades is trying to enlist Seraphim to help him secure Zeus’ vacant throne and save his family from their long standing suffering.
Blood of Zeus Season 2 comes to Netflix May 10th.
