New on Netflix Sept. 2021

NETFLIX

Sweet Girl

This movie delivers on many fronts, especially when it comes to the bloody fight scenes (that could have handled being even bloodier). It's biggest downfalls are the dialogue and the lull in the beginning, however, that doesn't make it unwatchable by any means.

Kate

Kate is bright and bold with some epic fight scenes, great cinematography, and beautiful shots. This one is well worth the watch, thanks to the two amazing female leads who take the term revenge thriller to a whole new level.

Nightbooks

Underneath its terrifying exterior, there is a lot of heart and emotion at the center of Nightbooks. Most importantly, there is a valuable lesson about never changing yourself for others, and finding friends who like you for you.

Hilarious jokes, star studded voice cast, gorgeous animation, a bopping soundtrack, and a great introduction to the new generation of ponies.

4.5 out of 5

Midnight Mass

An intense, heart pounding, bone chilling story that perfectly weaves thriller and horror together while exploring human nature. The last scene is simply stunning. This is horror at its best.

The Starling

A touching and heartwarming story that focuses heavily on the different ways of dealing with grief. McCarthy is the standout performance and truly shines.

3.5 out of 5

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe

Clearly geared towards children, who will fully embrace and love this version. Longtime fans probably won't because of the many changes. Major Skylander vibes.
