Solar Opposites Season 6 does a wonderful job of wrapping everything up nicely as it is the final season, but still leaving enough to explore just in case it comes back.

As a big fan of the series from the very beginning, I hvae to admit I was devastated when I heard that Solar Opposites Season 6 would be the final season. This show has been near perfect from the start, and has only gotten better with time. The Wall and SilverCops side stories keep things interesting, while the main plot gives us the humor that we want as fans, while also delivering a story about an alien family that in the end, just wants to fit in.
The writers did a brilliant job this season making sure that those who have watched all the episodes over the years would see a lot of nods and references to past seasons. Some are quite obvious while others are enough to make fans chuckle and point at the screen just like the Leonardo DiCaprio meme. This is something that rewards those that have been with the series from the start, and means a lot to people like me.
It was also important to wrap up Solar Opposites in a way that gives viewers closure. Sure, there is always room for the show to return should another network pick it up or Hulu change their mind (please Hulu! Please!!), but it feels complete at the same time. No larger questions are left unanswered. In fact, there are a lot of details that are revealed that came as a complete surprise to me (in the best way possible).

Of course I love the story of Terry, Korvo, Yumyulack, Jesse, and The Pupa, but I also found myself heavily invested in The Wall and the SilverCops B and C plots. The Wall in particular is one that has changed and evolved throughout the season, allowing those working on the show to get to explore new genres every season. The ending to this story, which I will not reveal, is pure perfection. It is completely unexpected, in the best way possible.
As for the SilverCops story, that is done justice as well. I am thankful that the creators and writers opted to wrap up these stories as well. Therefore it feels like it was not a waste of time becoming interested in these characters and these stories.

As it surely comes as no surprise, the Solars’ ending also gives fans what they want. The reveals are thrilling and exciting, as well as hilarious (of course). This season feels like a love letter to the fans and to the first five seasons.
It is sad to see the series ending, but it could not have gone out in a better way. There are wild action sequences, hilarious antics, and even emotional moments that tie it all together into something truly special. I love this crazy alien family, and I hope to see them return to my screen some day. Until then I will be watching these six seasons over and over.
