Playing Alien: Rogue Incursion Absolutely Terrified Me (& I Loved It)

Alien: Rogue Incursion, the new virtual reality game, is now available for pre-order and if you want to be absolutely terrified, you should get it.

Alien: Rogue Incursion VR

The very first Alien VR game is here, and trust me when I tell you, it is just as scary as you imagine it would be. Coming face to face with a Xenomorph is enough to make your heart stop. When walking around the, truly stunning, environments, my heart was pounding as I slowly peeked around corners with my weapon ready, hoping not to be startled but a creature.

I am a big gamer, but when it comes VR I often spend my time playing Job Simulator. Yeah, I am not proud of it, but it is strangely addicting and actually a lot of fun. I’ve dabbled in Resident Evil on VR before, but it genuinely scared me. Alien: Rogue Incursion is even scarier, which I did not think was possible, and yet, I had a whole lot of fun with it.

There are times when you literally have to wipe blood off computer monitors before you can use them. Ew. What I love about VR is how immersive it is, but fair warning, take breaks. If I spend too long playing in VR, I get a little nauseous. Sometimes the story is so good that you do not want to stop playing. Maybe it is the fact that I am forty years old, but I need to or it will not end up good.

Alien: Rogue Incursion VR

I enjoyed my time playing Alien: Rogue Incursion even though I mostly just wanted to hide in a corner and hope that no aliens discovered I was there. This is a game that I am one hundred percent going to play from beginning to end (with breaks of course!).

My only real complaint is that there is a lot to have to remember when it comes to reloading your weapon. This is realistic and makes sense, but it is hard to remember how to do it when you have an alien in your face. Surely this will get easier the more I play and become second nature in no time, but for now, I about wanted to chuck my gun at the alien attacking me and run.

There she will need to survive deadly attacks from the most cunning Xenomorphs ever encountered and discover new horrors and threats that once unleashed could spell the end for humankind.
