All The Last Of Us Season 1 Episodes Ranked From Worst To Best. This season was near perfection, but let’s break it down by episode.
The Last Of Us is the rare show where almost every single episode is incredible. It was very hard to rank the episodes, considering that the only ones that were not perfect, only have one or two small nitpicks. However, we tried our best — here are all The Last Of Us season 1 episodes RANKED from worst to best.

The Last Of Us Season 1 Episode 4
The Last Of Us Season 1 Episode 4 is another great episode, with lots of intel being given to viewers. Kathleen is a new character that fans will not be used to, but she fits into the plot perfectly. The episode as a whole is quite short. Of course there is some backstory here, and more set pieces that look very similar to the games, but it sometimes feels like a waste of an episode. More set up for what is to come than giving us substance.

The Last Of Us Season 1 Episode 6
The Last Of Us Season 1 Episode 6 moves very quickly through Joel and Ellie’s time in Jackson. It is nice to catch up with Tommy, and learn about his life with Maria, as well as see the brothers reunite. Viewers getting a few more hints at both Joel and Ellie’s pasts. Their fight is short lived, but that is so that things can keep moving along.
The biggest issue with The Last Of Us Season 1 Episode 6 is that it does feel rushed at times.

The Last Of Us season 1 episode 2
The decision to tackle the actual outbreak in The Last Of Us season 1 episode 2 is a brilliant one. This allows the premiere to focus more on taking scenes from the actual game, sucking in both fans and newcomers to the series. Seeing how it all started is enough to send chills down anyone’s spine, as it is all too realistic, and feels like it could actually happen.
Joel, Ellie, and Tess exploring what truly feels like the video games is going to make longtime fans extremely happy. The Last Of Us has done a great job with the set pieces so far, and we are certain it will only get better from here.
The clickers themselves were done extremely well. Making the two in the museum look similar, but different, makes sense because the spores and fungi will always grow in different ways. Things are just getting started here, but so far we cannot even fathom that The Last Of Us will stop being perfect.
The Last Of Us Season 1 Episode 1
Overall, The Last Of Us premiere delivered everything that long time fans were hoping for, and more. The set up of the outbreak is perfect, and even the heartbreaking moments will have fans smiling as they hold back tears. The performances, specifically from Pedro Pascal, are top notch. It is clear the casting team thought long and hard about their choices, and it makes this series that much better for it.

The Last Of Us Season 1 Episode 5
The Last Of Us Season 1 Episode 5 will send those who don’t know the story on an emotional roller coaster, and will have those who do dreading the outcome, but excited to see it play out. This episode focuses heavily on Henry and Sam, who are an important part of Ellie and Joel’s journey.
Seeing so much of the video game come to life in this episode, plus giving viewers a massive fight between humans and infected was exciting and thrilling.

The Last Of Us Season 1 Episode 3
The Last Of Us season 1 episode 3 takes the time to tell a side story, that is important to the overall picture. This is where viewers get to learn about Bill and Frank, who ultimately help Joel and Ellie out quite a bit since they get a truck and supplies. Things are changed a little bit here, but it works best for a series, we think.
This episode is a but of an emotional roller coaster and while we would have liked more of Bill, the way things play out makes sense. The focus really should be on Joel and Ellie, so spending part of one episode to tell Bill and Frank’s story and then move on works.

The Last Of Us Season 1 Episode 9
The Last Of Us Season 1 Episode 9 is the perfect ending to the season. It completes the story that fans got in the video game, and the way it plays out will likely shock viewers that did not know what was going to happen.
Rating: 5 out of 5
The Last Of Us Season 1 Episode 8
The Last Of Us Season 1 Episode 8 tells the fan favorite story of David, and it truly delivers. Allowing Troy Baker to be a part of this is the perfect fit for him. It was nice to see him get a lot of screen time, with the only complaint being that we did not get any Joel on Joel fights.
The way this story plays out is very similar to the game and while it feels like it was a little rushed, being crammed into just one episode, that is what The Last Of Us season 1 has been doing all along — so at this point it was expected.

The Last Of Us Season 1 Episode 7
This was a much anticipated episode of The Last Of Us, and while it arrived sooner than expected, it really delivered. Here we get to explore the relationship between Ellie and Riley. We learn a lot about her past, including how she got bit. It feels like it is ripped exactly from the video game, and while most players will love this, some might find it redundant or slow.
Where we have seen slight changes in the past, this really is not the case, which is what can cause The Last Of Us Season 1 Episode 7 to feel like we already saw it (because we did).
