The 28th Screen Actors Guild Awards will take place this Sunday, February 27th and here are our winner predictions.
The 28th Screen Actors Guild Awards will take place this Sunday, February 27, at 8 p.m. (ET)/5 p.m. (PT) and will be simulcast on TNT and TBS from Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. For the first time, the show will also be available the following day on HBO Max.
When the nominations were first announced, it felt as though SAG would be another stop on the road to the 94th Academy Awards. However, with the BAFTA and Oscar nominations going in directions that surprised many, the stakes are high at this year’s Screen Actors Guild Awards.
The acting categories provided the least amount of crossover in quite a while as Supporting Actor had a 2/5 correlation with Oscar while Lead Actress went 3/5 with the Oscar 5. So it’s safe to say Lead Actress is anyone’s game.
Along with the winners, Academy Award winner Helen Mirren is set to receive the 57th Life Achievement at this year’s ceremony. Academy Award winner Kate Winslet will present the honor.
