The Batman first reactions and reviews are in from press ahead of Fans First screenings and they are insanely positive.

The Batman First Reactions
With The Batman first reactions flooding onto twitter, critics are praising just about every aspect of the film. From the acting by all involved, to the well done story, to the fast paced action, the dark and gritty Gotham — it seems like this movie has it all. Fans will likely be very pleased by this nearly three hour long movie, even though the length seems to be the only complaint.
From the moment he was cast, there has been mixed public thoughts on Robert Pattinson taking on the role of the caped crusaders, but by all accounts he has completely crushed the role. Matt Reeves, the Director, has also succeeded as many praise his direction and choices.
Holy shit. The Batman exceeded all my expectations. Robert Pattinson just might be my favorite Batman. Gotham is just as dark as I wanted it to be & the villains are INSANE (& I love it). Didn't feel like 3 hrs — I could have watched more. VISUALLY STUNNING! #TheBatman pic.twitter.com/QR7nNrLpHl

When #TheBatman ended, I would've sat there and watched 3 more hours. It's not a movie so much as a world that @mattreevesLA has created, and if you appreciate the seedy, sprawling tapestry of Gotham, you will devour this. The cast is stellar, the car chase is an all-timer. 4.5/5 pic.twitter.com/VQtj28EmOR

Angry, hard-boiled, soaked in angst, #TheBatman finally marks the arrival of "The World's Greatest Detective." A gripping & brilliant unraveling of fear & addiction @mattreevesLA flexes his extensive knowledge of film history to craft a noir love letter & a perfect Batman movie! pic.twitter.com/LC1KLd5O6q

#TheBatman is nothing short of a cinema masterpiece. From that terrifying opening to the emotional moments between Batman and Selina. This was the least comic book movie ever (structurally) but carries the most “Batmanism” film fans ever wanted.

My first thought was "Really? Another Batman movie?" But @mattreevesLA proved me wrong. #TheBatman makes the character feel fresh again, hitting all the gritty noir beats in the scariest version of Gotham yet. Oh, and Colin Farrell pretty much steals every scene he's in. pic.twitter.com/Krs2vdYo90

The Batman movie is everything fans will want in a DC film. It is dark, gritty, with villains worthy of their psychotic titles. @ZoeKravitz was purrrrfect as Catwoman, seductive yet badass! A little too long for my taste, but a good film nonetheless.#TheBatmanMovie #TheBatman pic.twitter.com/BBWHCXx6i9

I love #TheBatman. Might be my favorite Batman movie yet, but I need more time to sit with it.
That’s all now. Gotta read others’ reviews for RT…

#TheBatman is like if the movie Zodiac (2007) and the Nolan Batman movies had a baby with an actual fan of the Batman from the comics. It was perfect, gritty, and exactly the kind of look into Batman as a detective that I wanted. pic.twitter.com/qaEoLwEtia

#TheBatman starts out intensely, letting you know it’s pushing as close to an R-rating that it can while maintaining a PG-13.
Matt Reeves sets the tone early to say this one is gonna be gritty, intense, and sometimes scary with true horror elements injected – which is cool. pic.twitter.com/fQg9J16hpV

THE BATMAN is a modern brooding crime epic that sees one of the more introspective explorations of Batman to date. While the screenplay can leave some to be desired, Pattinson is fantastic as are the visuals and larger exploration of anger and vengeance #TheBatman #Batman pic.twitter.com/jSFyjE4ekh

I’ve seen #TheBatman and it is incredible! I had high expectations going into the film and they were surpassed in every way possible. This is the Batman movie I’ve been waiting for. It's nearly 3 hours and I would’ve happily watched a 6-hour cut of this story. pic.twitter.com/rVMsHpBrLU

Surpassing The Dark Knight might have been an impossible task, but @mattreevesLA has managed to match it, in my opinion. Haven’t stopped thinking about #TheBatman since I saw it. Bravo, sir. pic.twitter.com/oGFeLHoD6t

Bold, dense, and full of surprisingly ambitious twists, THE BATMAN is a incredible cinematic film noir that is unlike anything I’ve seen turns Gotham into Chinatown. Matt Reeves is one of the few filmmakers who understands the assignment no matter what IP he’s given. #TheBatman pic.twitter.com/zGB99i2MzU

#TheBatman is every comic book lovers dream. Super dark, gritty and an impressive detective story. Matt Reeves delivers a phenomenal psychological thriller. Paul Dano shines as the Riddler. Robert Pattinson is THE Batman.

After the second hour, #TheBatman becomes a bloated mess overly long, way too slow rhythm, with a weak, if any, pay-off. pic.twitter.com/Iy7XLz91Sy
— El George (@ElGeorgeRiveraR) February 28, 2022
#TheBatman is the most artistic Batman movie ever made; Matt Reeves presents the darkest version of The Caped Crusader we’ve seen on the big screen, while Robert Pattinson leaves his mark on the Bat legacy as a mentally and emotionally broken Bruce Wayne…until the second hour pic.twitter.com/TtBpQSeT4M

#TheBatman is a ridiculous, bold, brilliant event, absolutely jam-packed with style & a surprising sense of humor. It’s like nothing else in this space, and that has only made me love it more with each passing moment. I’m obsessed. pic.twitter.com/TPdCSeX5JT

#Batman89 walked so #TheDarkKnight could run & now #TheBatman flies its way into the pantheon of #ComicBookFilm transcendence! @mattreevesLA constructs a cerebral tale that homages noirs & the lore of Bats past. It's the comic-book accurate #Batman film fans have dreamt about. pic.twitter.com/45A7pGhijX
