Marvel Studios’ has released the final trailer for the film, Eternals, and it finally gives us a look at the plot. (reaction & breakdown)

    Eternals final trailer

Eternals has settled into the release date of November 5, 2021 and the final trailer final gives fans a look at the plot. Eternals are immortal, powerful beings, that live on Earth. However, they have been tasked with never interfering in the affairs of humans — unless it involves a Deviant.

The Eternals are a lesser known property of Marvel, but if you want to get to know them, there are lots of Eternals comic books you can read. Check out the exciting new trailer and poster for Marvel Studios’ “Eternals” and get an upfront look at the MCU’s newest team-up, featuring a group of heroes from beyond the stars who had protected the Earth since the dawn of man. When monstrous creatures called the Deviants, long thought lost to history, mysteriously return, the Eternals are forced to reunite in order to defend humanity once again.

    Eternals Final Trailer Reaction

Check out my reaction to the Marvel Studios’ Eternals Final Trailer below.

    Eternals Final Trailer Breakdown

This final trailer gives fans a look at the plot of the movie, which was not revealed before. After the second snap, half the population is brought back to life, causing a burst of energy. In the trailer they explain this causes the Deviants to return, as they feed on this energy.

During the trailer we also see a hologram of a celestial talking to them on their ship. Likely this is the start of the film, and this celestial is sending them to Earth on their mission. The large Celestial we see is likely Arishem due to the armor, although the helmet does look a bit Eson the Searcher’s. Arishem is the leader of the Celestials.

Thena, who is played by Angelina Jolie, is in love with a Deviant named Kro in the comic books. We see her interacting with one in the trailer, and likely it is the two of them. He had a chance to slay her and did not. Over the years, they grew closer together and fell in love.

There is even a young man by a river, which is likely a story ripped right from the comic books. Ikarus told him to watch for a monster to come out of the water, because he had seen that happening, and to call him when it did. The young boy sat there and waited, and waited. Eventually he had children of his own, and grandchildren, who all called him crazy. When the monster did come, Ikarus was there to fight him. However, because Ikarus interfered, this man, and his family, lived their lives right by the water’s side.
