WEWORK: THE MAKING AND BREAKING OF A $47 BILLION UNICORN

WEWORK: OR THE MAKING AND BREAKING OF A $47 BILLION UNICORN is a documentary coming to Hulu — here’s my review!

WeWork: or The Making and Breaking of a $47 Billion Unicorn is an extremely interesting documentary that gives viewers insight to CEO Adam Neumann. While this cannot be completely compared to The Vow documentary it did give me similar vibes with the cult like organization.

I am a big fan of documentaries, especially ones that expose the innerworkings of corrupt companies and dive into the secrets of how they got the success they did, and how they fell the way they did. This is exactly what I got with WeWork and while I do feel it went on a TAD too long, I was pleased with the overall film.

This documentary doesn’t waste any time getting to the point — which I can appreciate. Sometimes you have to wait thirty to forty minutes for the shoe to drop but this one hooked me from the first few minutes. Clocking in at a little over an hour and a half, it is a good length, although there is a little bit of dragging in the middle.

It was really interesting to see and hear stories about Adam Neumann. Honestly I had never heard of WeWork and what had happened with it, so I was going in with a blind eye. I think that really helped keep me engaged and entertained through the majority of the documentary. Those that know the story, will likely find this even more intriguing.

About WEWORK

WE chronicles the rise and fall of start-up darling WeWork, a real estate company whose eccentric CEO blended spirituality, entrepreneurial hustle, and free beer to convince Wall Street and Silicon Valley billionaires that shared office space could, literally, change the world. Almost overnight, real estate company WeWork went from a $47 billion behemoth to near bankruptcy.

The We Revolution chronicles the Icarus-like rise and fall of WeWork CEO Adam Neumann and and how he used smoke, mirrors, and free beer to trick Wall Street and Silicon Valley into believing that the world can be made into a better place through glorified landlordry.
