During the WandaVision press junket Elizabeth Olsen was asked to describe the series from Wanda’s point of view. The answer may surprise you!

WandaVision is a show that, as we know from the first reactions, is strange and bizarre — but it works! During the WandaVision press event Elizabeth Olsen, who plays Wanda Maximoff AKA Scarlet Witch, was asked how Wanda would describe the new Marvel series.

Of course this is a really difficult question to navigate, especially with Kevin Feige starring her down on the Zoom meeting. But she gave an answer that I think is absolutely perfect, and yes, it warmed my heart.

From Wanda’s point of view she would describe WandaVision as a family sitcom of two people trying to fit in and not be discovered for being different.” – Elizabeth Olsen

wandavision trailer breakdown

One thing that I have been excited about from the trailers is that WandaVision is very clearly a different kind of show. It isn’t the Marvel that we are used to, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing! I love that she mentioned this show is about two people, because it is very much about her and Vision.

Elizabeth Olsen added that filming in front of a live audience confused her brain! She said it was very nerve-wracking and there were a lot of quick changes. Definitely something she was not used to.
