Bill & Ted Face The Music Is Exactly What We Need Right Now

Bill & Ted Face the Music is exactly what this world needs right now! Full of humor, heart, and of course, bodacious tunes Bill & Ted 3 is a great end to the trilogy.

Bill & Ted Face The Music has the same feel as the first two movies in the trilogy. It is filled with silly humor, heart, and awesome tunes. In this movie the friends are middle aged and have daughters of their own — named after each other of course! The girls act just like their fathers and while that can be annoying at times, it doesn’t take away from the film.

This movie is totally something we need right now. If you are a fan of the first two, you are sure to love the third installment. But even if you know nothing about the first two, this one might entertain you. Be prepared for lots of silly humor, but also a really fun adventure. My husband and I watched this with our two young daughters, who are 7 and 9 and have not seen the first two — they loved it!

Bill & Ted’s daughters add a little fun and side plot to the movie as they travel through time to put together the ultimate band for their dads. And in the end, they are more important than ever. I have heard some people say they were a little annoying, which I can totally see.

Although honestly they didn’t bother me much at all. Maybe at first, but I got used to their antics pretty quickly. It was interesting seeing Samara Weaving in this role because I love her in Ready Or Not, where she plays a much different one.

When it comes to Keanu Reeves and Alex Winters, they pick up right where they left off. After 30 years they are still doing an amazing job playing these characters. It is like they never stopped. Wow! Most impressive, dudes.

Bill & Ted Face the Music gave us a lot of fan service, which I was totally here for. There are lots of cameos and actors and actresses reprising their roles from earlier films. Of course, the way that Missy is included is icing on the cake — and had my husband and I cracking up!

The nostalgia is heavy with this one, and it really, really works. This movie could have easily felt like an unnecessary cash grab, but it didn’t. Not one bit. Instead Bill & Ted Face The Music feels like the ending that was planned all along. One that I had no idea we needed.

Overall Thoughts

Is this a perfect movie? Of course not. But it is a fun way to pass the time. If you are a fan of Bill & Ted from the first two movies, you are sure to love the fan service in this one. If you are new to the series, I am willing to bet you will be eager to watch the first two movies as soon as this one ends.

Bill & Ted Face The Music is something we all need right now. It is a story about uniting the world. Right now the world is going through so much turmoil that this was not only a much needed escape, it feels like a lesson somehow. Just be kind to each other.

When making this movie the studio surely didn’t know how relevant it would be right now. Music is a powerful thing and if only we could unite the world with a song right now we would be in a much better place. Be excellent to each other dudes!
