Atiny rejoice, the ATEEZ VR CONCERT: LIGHT THE WAY is more than worth the cost as it delivers the experience of a lifetime – and of course, photocards!

As a proud Atiny, there was no way I was going to miss the ATEEZ VR CONCERT: LIGHT THE WAY. The moment tickets went on sale, I grabbed two for the first Los Angeles showing to attend with my bestie. We had the time of our lives, and I knew immediately that I would be going back. I then attended with a group of friends for the final night of Phase 1, and of course, I had to return for Phase 2 in order to get the new photocard outfits. Three times so far, and I am already thinking about going back for a fourth.
My first thought on this VR Concert is that it is way too short. But that is just me being selfish. Atiny are used to in-person concerts that are more than three hours long, so we are conditioned to seeing our ULT Group for long periods of time. That said, the runtime of 45 minutes or so is actually pretty perfect. The VR headset isn’t uncomfortable by any means, but if you stay in there long enough, you will likely get a little motion sickness.
One of the best parts of LIGHT THE WAY is that you get to select a member to take you through the show. While the whole group performs, of course, there are interim moments where your bias saves you – even offering you his hand at the end, and yes, this is just as exciting as you think, even though we know it is not real. As a Hongjoong bias, I chose him twice before going with my wrecker, San, for my third viewing. I felt guilty the whole time, but it was fun to see how different members acted in the scenes. I almost want to go six more times just to experience everyone, because let’s face it, like most Atiny, I really am OT8 in my heart.
ATEEZ VR CONCERT: LIGHT THE WAY is an unforgettable experience. Concert tickets are expensive, and even if you are lucky enough to get front row, the members will not be this close to you when they perform. There are moments where they are practically on top of you (and no, I am not complaining). As they look directly into the camera, it seems as if they are looking right into your eyes, deep into your soul, and really raising that delulu that we all have (and that they know we have and yet they love it).
The choreography and song choices are incredible. I would have loved to see In Your Fantasy, but I also do not know if I would have survived it. My theater was packed with screaming Atiny, which made me feel the same connection I feel at concerts. That communal experience is one of the reasons I love going to live shows. You even get a virtual light stick and the ability to do heart hands and send hearts to the members. That is a really fun and interactive addition to the show.
Of course, the performances are amazing; we would expect nothing less from ATEEZ, but I also really enjoy the “ATEEZ Show” portion of LIGHT THE WAY. The members sit down, directly in front of you, to have a chat with one another and discuss filming the concert, bringing a unique experience to Atiny, and what concept they would like to explore next. It is always fun to watch them interact with one another, laughing and having fun.
