Disneynature’s Tiger delivers an up close and personal look at one of the most beautiful and misunderstood creatures, the tiger.
Disneynature has a habit of delivering visually stunning and inspirational films that give viewers a close up look at some of nature’s most beautiful creatures. The latest one, Tiger, introduces its audience to a tigress and her three cubs, showcasing the unwavering love of a mother while simulataneously teaching the audience about these wonderful animals.
From the very beginning we are welcomed into the life of Ambar. She resides in India with her three cubs, who are just as playful as they are adorable. They are cubs, so they haven’t come into their own yet. They are clumsy and just want to have fun, but through patience and perserverance, she teaches them how to hunt, as well as how to remain hidden when a predator is around.
Disneynature films have always done a wonderful job of allowing viewers to feel as if they are right there with the animals, and a part of the action. There are up close shots that are absolutely stunning and it becomes almost impossible to not fall in love with these creatures. To see the ins and outs of how they learn from their mother, which is just as humans do, is special, almost making you feel like you are a part of the family.
Tiger also includes a bit of a love story, which is fun to watch play out. Of course, this means that viewers are in store for even more adorable cubs as the story goes on.
The saying nature is cruel is popular for a reason. These films never shy away from the harsh realities that we might wish away. Of course these tigers needs to eat, and in Tiger we witness them stalking, killing, and eating their prey.
While it is fasinating to watch, it is also sad. Especially because these tigers eat other adorable animals. It can be difficult to watch at times, but it is an important part of their lives. They wouldn’t survive without eating.
For an hour and half, viewers are transported to India and are able to not only learn a little bit more about tigers, but to be told a story about them. Disneynature does a wonderful job of not just offering up a documentary, but of shaping their lives into a story that feels like a movie.
Disneynature’s Tiger is visually stunning, delivers an emotional story, and does not shy away from the harsh realities of nature. It is not only educational, it is a lot of fun.
Plus, who doesn’t want to watch a bunch of adorable tiger cubs try to navigate life as they learn from their mother?
