When accepting the award to become a Disney Legend at the 2022 D23 Expo, Josh Gad tells a story about getting rejected for a position at Walt Disney World.
Josh Gad Rejected From Walt Disney World Position
During the Disney Legends Award Ceremony at the D23 Expo, honoree Josh Gad confessed that he was once rejected when applying to become a Jungle Cruise Skipper at Walt Disney World.
After joking repeatedly about adding the prefix “Disney Legend” to all of his legal forms like car insurance and registration, he added a story about when he was 18 years old and applied to be a Jungle Cruise Skipper.
Unfortunately he was rejected but he gave the last laugh at the D23 Expo Legends Ceremony when he added for that cast member to update his resume (assuming it is still on file) to say Disney Legend Josh Gad.
Other honorees were Anthony Anderson, Kristen Bell, Chadwick Boseman, Rob’t Coltrin, Patrick Dempsey, Robert Price “Bob” Foster, Jonathan Groff, Don Hahn, Josh Gad, Doris Hardoon, Idina Menzel, Chris Montan, Ellen Pompeo, and Tracee Ellis Ross will be honored for their significant and lasting contributions to the Disney Legacy.
Nearly the entire Frozen family was honored at the 2022 D23 Expo, sparking rumors that perhaps a Frozen III is going to be in the works. Gad had quips about that as well, stating this was probably a bice way to let them all know they were replaced by younger actors such as Zendaya.
Will there be a Frozen III? Most likely. As the franchise is one of the most popular under the Disney umbrella.
