Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 3 kicks it into high gear with some incredible visuals, reveals, and action sequences. Here’s our spoiler review.

Warning: Minor spoilers ahead for Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 3.
Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 3 doesn’t waste any time giving the fans what they want — Darth Vader. The end of episode 2 gave us a taste, but in less than five minutes episode 3 serves us a full meal, plus dessert. This opening scene is probably one of the best in Star Wars history, sure to send shivers down anyone’s spine.
The best part? Obi-Wan Kenobi full on embraces some serious horror elements during this scene. The echoes of Reva’s cryptic message to Obi-Wan as Darth Vader dons his iconic outfit, helmet and all, is already enough to give viewers chills, but add in the eerie score and fog and this is something fans won’t soon forget.

As the episode continues on, we get a good amount of time with Obi-Wan and Leia together. The two have great chemistry on screen, and this episode allows them to go deep when discussing her biological parents. No surprise that Ewan McGregor absolutely crushes this emotional scene. His heartache is apparent just from the tone of his voice and the look on his face.

As stated by Deborah Chow during the early press day, Obi-Wan is in a dark place during this series, which is quite clear. He holds back, he isn’t as confident, and he is struggling with Anakin’s fall to the dark side. Allowing fans to get a look at this time period of Obi-Wan’s life, and what he was going through, is something truly special.
He doesn’t trust anyone, and even snaps at Leia telling her that not all people are good. She is an innocent child, and quite trusting at this time in her life. Mention that she will be a good fighter when she grows up must make all Star Wars fans smile knowing what is in store for Leia’s future.

Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 3 delivers the emotional moments while propelling the story forward, but it also throws in some great action as well. While they aren’t long, epic battles, they are likely setting up for one in the final episode. We know that both Darth Vader and Obi-Wan survive this series, but that doesn’t mean they can’t come face to face more than once.
The Darth Vader that we see in this episode perfectly captures his personality. He will take out anyone without hesitation. The way he taunts Obi-Wan to show himself by decimating that small village is right up his alley, and it is a sight to see.

Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 3 does a good job with the pacing, and really moves the story forward while allowing fans the time they need with these characters. The Inquisitors take a small step backwards, but Reva is still showing her passion and drive to become Vader’s right hand woman.
This marks the middle of the series and with just three episodes left, the story is likely about to kick into high gear. Episode 3 feels like a set up for something major that is coming soon, and fans everywhere can’t wait.
Kicks off with one of the best scenes in all of Star Wars history, before stomping on our hearts just 15 minutes later with one of the most emotional.
