You Season 3 sends shivers down spines as it focuses on two brutal killers who are more like arch enemies than husband and wife.

You is one of the most addicting shows on Netflix because somehow viewers feel bad for the psychopathic Joe who goes on murdering sprees all in the name of love. Speaking of Love, that is exactly who he found in season 2, and as it turns out, she is a killer as well. The two seem to be made for each other. At the very end of last season they get married, move to the suburbs, and it is revealed that she is pregnant.
Season 3 explores what happens when two crazy killers get married and try to live the perfect life. As Joe says so perfectly at the start of the season, what happens after boy gets girl? There is a lot that goes down this season including a sexy neighbor, Love’s new bakery, and of course, secrets and obsessions. You wouldn’t be complete without that last part now, would it?

Right from the first episode You Season 3 is captivating. From the trailer fans might think they know what is going to happen this season but they have no idea. Season 3 kicks off with a shocking twist and things only get crazier from there. As the story goes on, viewers can’t help but feel for the citizens of this small town considering they have an off kilter couple living there with deep, dark secrets.
The first two season of You are fantastic, but it is an interesting turn of events to see two murderous people at the forefront of the show this time. They are both doing what they feel is best for their family, sure, but it gets a lot more complicated than that as it goes on.
Fans know that Penn Badgley and Victoria Pedretti have chemistry because of their relationship in season 2 but trust me when I say you have seen nothing yet. So many of their moments together are chilling and will send shivers down your spine. They both have a presence on screen and demand attention, vying for the starring role. There are times where you don’t know which one to root for, or maybe even for them both.
This is meant as a compliment to the two of them, trust me. Their talent is to be applauded. It is almost like the two are facing off against one another, and are arch enemies — not quite always on the same team.
As for the supporting characters and newcomers to the series, they fit right in. Dylan Arnold, who plays Theo, and Tati Gabrielle, who plays Marianne, are the stand outs, but really all of them do a fantastic job. Travis Van Winkle, who plays Cary, and Shalita Grant, who plays Sherry also have their moments — in the final couple episodes in particular.
It is hard to go into detail without giving spoilers, but it should be noted that everyone in this town plays their role perfectly.
The dialogue and voice overs that You is known for are the icing on the cake this season. They mostly come from Joe, of course, but Love has hers as well. This dynamic showcases her pushing to the front of the show, and makes for some chilling moments.

The score and cinematography add to the intensity of it all. This season is a quick binge for those that have been invested in Joe from the start. While the previous two seasons still hold up, this one is superior — mostly because of the new dynamic with Love. Someone knows his secrets, and has her own secrets, so the two are forced to work together even when they don’t want to.
Trying to parent a child and run a new business on top of that adds a lot of stress to the marriage, which comes out in the most insane ways.

Overall Thoughts on You Season 3
This cute little rich suburban town won’t know what hit them when Joe and Love are done with them. Buckle up because you are in for a wild ride! Lots of callbacks to previous seasons while still making this one its own is what works so well with You season 3.
As secrets, and bodies, are buried this season, Joe and Love seem to be in love one minute, and arch enemies the next. Viewers will be on the edge of their seat as they wait to find out who will win — Joe, Love, or their marriage.
There are currently no plans for a YOU season 4 and with the way season 3 ends, that feels just as well. This season, particularly the last episode, feels like a good wrap up for Joe. Fans don’t need more however, they are sure to welcome it should the right story come along.

About YOU Season 3
In Season 3, Joe and Love, now married and raising their baby, have moved to the balmy Northern California enclave of Madre Linda, where they’re surrounded by privileged tech entrepreneurs, judgmental mommy bloggers, and Insta-famous biohackers. Joe is committed to his new role as a husband and dad but fears Love’s lethal impulsiveness. And then there’s his heart.
Could the woman he’s been searching for all this time live right next door? Breaking out of a cage in a basement is one thing. But the prison of a picture-perfect marriage to a woman who’s wise to your tricks? Well, that’ll prove a much more complicated escape.
YOU Season 3 hits Netflix on October 15th.
