Breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace — Worth The Price?

Disney’s brand new Riviera Resort also comes with a new character restaurant — Topolino’s Terrace. It is a little bit pricey, so is it worth the cost?

Topolino's Terrace review

Character meals are some of my favorite meals to take advantage of at Disney because they are always a good time! The characters are often very interactive, and the food is usually decent too. However, they come with quite the price tag. Disney’s Rivera Resort’s Topolino’s Terrace is no different. At of the time of writing this review adult meals are $42 each and children’s are $27 each. So is that worth it?

Topolino's Terrace

Topolino’s Terrace is gorgeous inside. The views from the large windows are stunning — and if you are out on the terrace, you can easily see Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios (and at night the fireworks!). It is way bigger than I expected to be inside, and I cannot wait to take my whole family with me to check it out!

Exclusive Characters

Before I give you my conclusion, I feel like I need to be honest with you. Not only am I obsessed with Disney, I am obsessed with exclusives. And Topolino’s Terrace is the first resort restaurant to have their very own exclusive characters (and ears and autograph book!). I mean, I need all of these, just saying!

Topolino's Terrace Exclusives

What character breakfast is complete without characters! And since Topolino’s Terrace is the only place to find Writer Minnie, Painter Mickey, Dancer Daisy, and Sculptor Donald, it is a must visit! At least once! As a family that is into the arts, I really love the art theme they have going on.

Honestly, they were some of the best character interactions I have experienced! I am not sure if it is just because it is a new place, but they were amazing! Very attentive and spent as much time taking photos, videos, and “chatting” with us as we wanted.

Delicious Food

As with most character meals, the fee is a flat fee. I visited for breakfast (and am hoping to book a dinner next Disney vacation). As soon as you are seated for breakfast a pastry bucket is brought to the table to share — and everything inside of it was delicious! The maple danish is EVERYTHING and I think I will be dreaming about it until I have another one.

For my entree I chose the sour cream waffles because I have a sweet tooth. And they were delicious! My friend got the Two Eggs – Any Style. She chose poached and said they were delicious as well. There are lots of other great options too. Quiche, croissant, mushroom scramble, fruit plate, and even smoked salmon! So there is sure to be something that everyone will enjoy.

Kids get to create their own entree by choosing either scrambled eggs (there is a plant based option as well!), fruit and yogurt, or mickey waffle dippers. Then they add two of the following: roasted potatoes, fruit cup, granola, sausage, or bacon. I love that they can pick and choose what they want so they are more likely to eat their breakfast.

Overall Thoughts

As far as character breakfasts go, Toploino’s Terrace is one of the better ones. The characters are attentive, and the fact that they are in outfits unique to the restaurant is super fun. I love the views and the food was amazing. Since I have only had the breakfast there so far, I am really looking forward to visiting again for dinner!

Sure it is a little pricey, but all character meals are. I must say, I feel like I got my money’s worth with this one!
