    Avengers

Unless you have been living under a rock, you know that Avengers: Age of Ultron came out in theaters two weeks ago. It banked over $187 million opening weekend and I am not surprised. If you have not gone to see it yet – WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!? Sorry for yelling, I just cannot believe that there are people in this world that have not yet seen this incredible movie. I was lucky enough to go to an early showing at my local movie theater the day before it came out. I saw it in 3D and plan to go back and see it again – this time in 3D IMAX. This movie is HUGE – right from the beginning you are thrown in to a battle. Talk about action! I promise, this is a spoiler free zone but I will vaguely point out some things I loved about Avengers: Age of Ultron (besides the stellar cast of course).

    Hawkeye

    Hawkeye

Hawkeye (Clint Barton) is one of my favorite Avengers. I read the comic books and I have loved him for a long time. He is one of my favorite Marvel characters – and I have thought about getting a Hawkeye/Mockingbird tattoo. My husband and I went with Rogue & Gambit – another awesome Marvel couple – but Hawkeye was on the table for quite some time. I love that they really brought him out in this film. Jeremy Renner is an awesome Hawkeye. He does great things for the character. He had some great one liners like “None of this makes sense.” and has a lot of comic relief in the film – as he does in the comic books. I promise I did not give anything away! I was so pleased to see him a lot more in this film and I am crossing my fingers for him to get his own movie!

    Avengers

    Differences from the Comics

I must admit, I was a little nervous going in to this film. There are certain characters that are introduced in a totally different way than in the comics. I understand this is because of pesky film rights (Universal has the right to the X-Men, and so I assume Magneto – who is Wanda & Pietro Maximoff’s father) so I knew they were going to be brought in differently. But I must say, I didn’t hate it. I am a stickler for the comics so continuity issues sometimes really annoy me. I think this was really well done and I loved these characters. Keep up the good work Disney! I never should have doubted you.

    Captain America Civil War

    Setting Us Up

As a comic book reader I can tell you that we have a lot of awesomeness in store for us. Now, I know Captain America: Civil War (which just started production!! – read more about that here) will not go down exactly like the comics but I KNOW there will be rifts, action, and someone – well someone just might – AHHHH OK, no spoilers – it is going to be good though. I can promise you that is going to be amazing. We already have seen that Tony Stark and Steve Rogers are not seeing eye to eye – and they have introduced Crossbones – OK, OK, I will stop! Just get ready for a wild ride guys. Get ready.

I leave you on this note – SEE THIS MOVIE!

I am DYING to see this movie. Sadly we are on a too tight budget and cannot afford it, so we have to wait until it hits TV or Amazon or Netflix 🙁 You make me want to see it more though LOL. Great post
