Global boy group JO1 has announced that ANIMAL will be the title of its first full English EP, set for release this fall. The project is produced by Grammy and Emmy Award-winning producer Dem Jointz, who has worked with some of the biggest names in music. Jacket photos for all 12 editions of the EP have also been unveiled.

JO1 has also confirmed the title of its upcoming October North American tour as the 2026 JO1 NORTH AMERICAN TOUR “ANIMAL.” The announcement follows the group’s ongoing dome tour in Japan and aligns the North American run with the title of the new EP. A newly designed tour poster has also been released. VIP packages for the tour have already sold out.

Dem Jointz is a world-renowned producer and songwriter whose credits include collaborations with artists such as Kanye West, Rihanna, Eminem, BTS, EXO, NCT 127, aespa and IVE. Known for helping shape the sound of modern K-pop, he has earned multiple Grammy Awards and is widely regarded as one of the industry’s most influential producers.
Speaking about the project, Dem Jointz praised the individuality and talent of JO1’s members, describing ANIMAL as “an 18-minute rollercoaster ride filled with adventure, energy, celebration, growth and human connection.” He added, “Everyone has an animal inside them, and this project gives you the spark to set it free in your own way.”
The EP’s jacket artwork incorporates kanji and Japanese-inspired typography, celebrating the group’s roots while introducing JO1 to a global audience. In addition to paper sleeve packaging, each solo edition includes a special origami insert, offering a uniquely Japanese touch that reflects the group’s identity.
