Dave Bautista & Chloe Coleman Talk My Spy: The Eternal City Stunts
Tessa Smith: Chloe, what was it like getting to do a lot more stunts this time around?
Chloe Coleman: I think is one of my favorite parts of the film. And I don’t think I knew it would be going into it because I was a little nervous. Like, they want me to do a flip here and then go underwater here and kick someone here, I don’t know how to do any of that. But I can learn. So I spent a year and a half, over that, training in martial arts. Doing all this stuff like getting scuba certified, learning to ride a moped, because I wanted to do as many stunts as I could, just to make it as authentic as possible. Now I really understand Sophie’s appeal to being a spy. It’s fun. I’d love to do more stunts.
Tessa Smith: Dave, I am sure you did a lot of your own stunts, too.
Dave Bautista: I do. I do. I just did my own motorcycle riding. And I like to do a lot of my fight scenes because I’m just comfortable with that. I’m good at that. But the bigger stunts, I just don’t do. I have an extremely qualified stunt double who has been with me since the first Guardians.
