At New York Comic Con 2023, Blumhouse gave panel attendees an exclusive look at some footage from the upcoming Five Nights At Freddy’s.
At New York Comic Con 2023 we were treated to Blumfest, revealing new details about the future of the company along with behind the scenes details on their newly released Totally Killer along with the upcoming Five Nights at Freddy’s and Night Swim.
When talking about Five Nights at Freddy’s director Emma Tami and producer Jason Blum gave us an exclusive sneak peek at the film with a short clip.
Five Nights At Freddy’s Footage Shown At NYCC 2023
In the footage shown we see Mike Schmidt played by Josh Hutcherson sitting in a chair in a dark and eerie security room. He turns around sees a vhs tape and proceeds to push it into the player. The old, box like tv turns on to static then we see a security informational guide.
A girl pops up on the screen and a bright and vibrant Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza Place is seen on screen. In a bright yellow uniform the girl says ‘you have been chosen the next protector’. Not knowing what he has gotten himself into, Mike Schmidt look puzzled but continues to watch the video.
The girl keeps talking, mentioning how the technology was developed and why they developed it. She talks about how they wanted to create an intimate and real connection between the characters and the kids.
About to show off the animatronics, she pushed the button but the screen freezes, static transitions into a black and white still of the animatronics standing on the stage with all of the lights off. Static transitions back into the informational video, and then back to a black and white video where the static distorts everything on the screen.
The clip cuts back and forth between the security clip and Mike Schmidt watching the clip, but then it cuts to black and it clip is over.
We didn’t see a very long clip but it was a slow burn that was a great tease for the film.
Five Nights at Freddy’s hits theaters in just a few weeks on October 27th.
